Getting gold weapons (Tested and working)

Finding those gold weapons will be a tedious process but It will make it easier using these tested methods.

First things first

This will be time consuming process based on the percent of the drops. I know most people might now have the patience to sit and pick locks or kill mobs to get a weapon to be considered "ultra-rare." I myself have a stack of them because I wanted to see which ones that you could get gold and I found that most of them (with the exception to unique) are gold. This includes the pre 1.5 patch weapons. There are also Gold guns (not sure if that supposed to be the case.)

Loot tables and Percents

I spend my entire day playing around with the loot tables to make gold weapons spawn more in lootable things.

First of which gold tier weapons have a chance to spawn .1% of the time during a hunter game win, killing of a goon or a demonisher, and hard or very hard containers (lockpickable). Also the loot table shows that the weapons are spawning in the Hard and very hard containers even though I managed to find a few in medium containers. Traders also have a .1 chance to sell a gold tier weapon (good luck with that)

Here is a personal loot table showing the results of my findings of a gold weapon in-game.
Please note I played with the loot tables to make that .1% into 30% so make it easier on myself:

Vans (non-locked) 0 Found
Vans (easy-medium) 0 Found
Police Vans 32 Found
Bags (non locked and easy loot) 1 Found
Lockers (very hard locks) 5 Found

Other Values that have affected this experiment

Now this is the question most people want to know about the loot. Some of these thing may affect whether you get loot or not.

My Game was set to hardmode+ (New game plus on hardmode)

Normal most Gold loot - Not tested
Hardmode (Not to be confused with hardmode+) - Not tested
