Walkthrough of Tormentum - Dark Sorrow with puzzles explained

Basic Tips

Tip 1: choices good vs. bad
Throughout the game you have to make some choices. These choices either give you the good ending or the bad ending. For the good ending you need ALL correct choices. If you make one mistake, you will still get the bad ending.

EDIT: as blaa and Vacc have pointed out, you can still get the good ending, if you made one wrong choice, by choosing the Key of Darkness (instead of the Key of Light). If you made the wrong choice more than once, you'll get the bad ending, regardless of which key you pick.

FYI, at the end (of the game) you have to choose between one of two keys. But we'll get to that eventually in this walkthrough.

Escape The Castle (Part 1)

1. Click on skull
2. Click on hand
3. Get the eye with skeleton hand
4. Get rusty plate from crow
5. Unscrew with rusty plate


Fix the cogs

6. Get the mirror piece

2. Get the ruby eye

Go back to the throne room and talk to the person you helped to get a gold coin

Go to the kitchen and add the ingredients in the cauldron


1. Add the meat and the spider's leg
2. Press the button
3. Take the poisoned meat

Go back to the entrance and go right to the beast

3. Talk to the rodent to get the gold coin (or pick up the coin, if the rodent is dead)
Go downstairs

2. Move the bones around to get the key; if you can't move the bones, see what other bones move and remove those first.

2. Give 3 gold coins (once you have collected them all)
3. Insert 3 emerald tears (once you have collected them all)

3. Rotate the weapons as shown in the image below

Start The Train (Part 1)

1. Pick up the wheel
Go to the right

2. Give the guardian the beast's claw, once you get it (later)

2. Pick up the red button, once the horse is gone

Enter the tower

Go up

Choice: give the egg to the bird (bad) or to the tree (good) and get the key as a reward

2a. You need to match the 2 opposite symbols as shown in the image below
2b. The symbols are hidden behind the tiles
2c. Once you click on the center, the cube starts filling with liquid; you need to find the correct symbols quickly, before they reappear again
2d. Once you have found a correct pair, they will disappear; rinse and repeat

I would like to add two things.

1. Just you forgot one option of choice, regarding later with the Jester- him being freed or not (If he was crowned instead of the queen he would be saying that he is at your mercy).

2. I have also noticed that regardless to whom you gave the crown of the damned (Reptile or Rat), the Icari bird is still found wounded and close to die on the roof. (at least it was like that in my playthrough).

I can't pick up the key in the torture chamber. The bad guy dropped it but when I click on it it won't go in the box. I just keep getting the "the torture sounds have ended". Please help!!!
