Insurgency M16A4 Custom for Desert Rifle

Replaces SCAR-L "Desert Rifle", not the M16.

Originally, this started as a re-working of my previous Insurgency M16A4 mod for the burst rifle, but along the line, it developed a life of its own; it's no longer simply just another Insurgency weapon mod, but rather, something with a flavor of originality.

I was personally dissatisfied with my previous mod for a multitude of reasons; in my opinion, it came off as very sloppily done. My biggest gripes were:

• Animations - I think I could have chosen a better set.
  
• Appearance - Its overall appearance, both in terms of shape and textures, looked very similar to my M4A1. In practice, I frequently got them mixed up, which was very distracting.

So I've decided to make an alternate version of it and completely re-do it. A multitude of changes were made in terms of animations, model configuration, and textures.

The biggest elephant in the room, of course, is the textures. I am not using Insurgency's default textures, but rather, HunterAZR's awesome worn tan textures, which adds a lot of flavor to the weapon's overall appearance. This is, quite literally, a "desert rifle."

The model configuration is also different. The most obvious difference is the addition of a foregrip, a favorite attachment for anyone who plays Insurgency. I always wanted to make an Insurgency weapon with a foregrip, but was hesitant to do so due to the clipping that would occur when it was held by another survivor; however, Lt. Rocky solved this issue with a bone-weighting trick he introduced with his KAC-PDW release, which hides the grip of the world model whenever it's being held. This mod also uses this same feature; pay attention to some of the screenshots, you'll notice it.

I also changed the flashlight; it's not the default Insurgency flashlight, but rather, Yogensia's surefire G2. In addition, I placed the flashlight on the left siderail instead of the right siderail, the latter of which is Insurgency's default flashlight position.

Last but not least, this has entirely different animations which make use of the foregrip: ImBrokeRU's and Arby26's SR-25 animation set, the exact same animations Lt. Rocky used in his KAC-PDW.

Forgive me for that wall of text, hope I didn't bore you to death with all those details. I'm done rambling now.

As always, make sure to download Urik's updated particles mod if you haven't already. In addition, an optional VGUI icon is available if you want one. Oh, and one last thing: this weapon is best viewed at a FOV of 60 or greater. To change your FOV, go into your console and type "cl_viewmodelfovsurvivor x", where x is the FOV number; the game's default value is 51.
