---------------------------------- INTRODUCTION ----------------------------------

The Companions Storyline was supposed to be a central theme of Skyrim... but it is filled with broken scripts and half-finished missions. The Companions are supposed to be the greatest warriors in Skyrim... but they're wimps. REAL COMPANIONS fixes this!

-------------------------------------- CHANGES --------------------------------------

Everyone talks about how Eorlund Gray-Mane makes legendary steel, but his weapons and armor never seem to live up to the hype.

Now Eorland's work can truly become legendary!

Wolf armor can now be upgraded to Gilded Wolf Armor using Quicksilver ingots, increasing the armor values to be comparable to Ebony, while retaining a lower total weight and thus providing good protection while costing less Stamina to run and fight in.

Honed Draugr weapons (often considered to be junk) are significantly more valuable now, as they can also be upgraded to Gilded Nord Hero weapons. These Skyforged weapons retain the weight and speed of steel, but deals as much damage as Ebony weapons.

In addition to improving player options for weapons and armor, the Skyforge its self has been remodeled. Players will now find a complete forge works with tanning station, workbench, grinding wheel and smelter. Crafting stations have been set in locations to guarantee they do not obstruct any quest related events.

------------------------------------ GAMEPLAY ------------------------------------

Companions are now set to provide aid to friends and allies, including the player should they become members of The Companions. Everyone in Jorrvaskr now share friendships and alliances with one another. If the player chooses to marry a member of The Companions, many of them will how attend the wedding on both sides of the isle.

This mod IS compatible with the 1.9.X.X.X update of Skyrim. I am not aware of any potential conflicts with other mods. Should you find any, please let me know.

Skyforged weapons retain the weight and speed of steel, but deals as much damage as Ebony weapons. Players will now find a complete forge works with tanning station, workbench, grinding wheel and smelter. You have to have ancient Nord weapons in your inventory to update them.

What is used to have the option to upgrade the armor and ancient weapons? Is it related to a specific perk in the smithing tree or just using they skyforge to upgrade it. As I've gotten the quicksilver ingots for the armor and the armor itself but I cannot find the option to upgrade it to gilded.

This is exactly why I released all the REAL COMPANION mods in parts, so something like this can be customized. Most likely you're are getting a conflict with something that changes Whiterun. Try changing your load order and reinstalling.

Not sure if the cause was this mod (this is the only one I had that affected the Skyforge)... but Eorlund Gray-Mane never spawned. He wasn't killed, he simply never existed in the first place.

If you are having a problem with the mod in any way, please follow these tips BEFORE you post any comments.

1. Change your load order: Move the mod up or down in the Skyrim mod manager. Items at the bottom of the list load earlier than items at the top of the list. Adjusting the load order often fixes all problems.
2. Double check to make sure you are not running any mods that would conflict with this one. Conflicts are often caused by dirty mods referencing other aspects of the game, or clean mods that effect the same and/or associated items as this mod.

If you are still having a problem after following step 1 & 2, please request additional assistance.
