How to get the (cheaty) Korek Machete - with screenshots!

This is a simple guide on how to get the Korek Machete Blueprint, which is a 500 damage and 218 handling orange weapon

Location

In the northeast of the map on the C shaped apartment building (the waypoint is set on a nearby safehouse):


You have to hit the box A LOT (75 times) to get it to open, just keeping pressing the button and it'll open.
How to get on top of the building without the grappling hook.
On top of the building, inside these crates next to one of the rooms:

Stats

500 damage, 218 handling, 35 durability, and 4 upgrade slots.
It costs 10 Alcohol and 20 Metal Parts to craft. No base weapon required!
Downsides: it can't be used in crafting, and it can't be repaired or upgraded.

Cheaty? Nah in ur dreams i have upgraded and crafted a weapon into a +2000 dmg weapon with 6 repairs.

this weapon is nice when your first starting out but then quickly becomes useless as you level up and get higher dammage weapon i think it does 500 damage which is nice when new but when your max level and playing on nightmare mode that weapon is useless

I found this weapon to be very limited in use. Was nice to dispatch a few basic zombies but it wears down extremely quickly.

I've just been there. Only way in was through the cellar with the parking lot. It triggered a quest. A quest tagged HARD. Very proper for a level 3 Survival, lvl 4 Fighter, and lvl 8 Agility. - Or not so much.
