Welcome to my GTA Modding Guide

In this guide, I'm going to be listing some of the greatest Grand Theft Auto IV mods out there; I have personally tried all the mods highlighted in this list so I can recommend them through experience!

On a couple of the mods, I'll list an alternative or simular mod next to it so you can choose your favourite one!

I like to keep my guides nice and short so people aren't reading for longer than they want to... Afterall, I want you to be playing these amazing modifications not read about them!

The order of these mods are going to depend on the amount they impact the game in there respective catagories, the ones near the beginning are doing to slightly alter the gameplay whilst the ones nearest the bottom are going to dramatically change GTA into a completely new game!

I will try my very best to add the creators names throughout this mods list but if I don't please leave a friendly comment below.

( Mods may be added/removed at any time for a number of reasons. )

Script Mods

These are small but important changes to GTA if you want to add extra fun or realism!

Game Changing Scripts / Mods.

This section of my guide is for the extreme modifications that make you forget you're playing Grand Theft Auto, instead playing something that should be it's own game!
( I've put a game that's the next-best thing next to it's name )

I would've loved a more varied list of names here but every insane modification seems to be from JulioNIB with the exception of LCPDFR!..

Add-on Map Mods.

I have tried all these maps listed here, however I haven't tried any of them combined. I highly doubt it'd work but you can try if you really want!

Graphical Enhancers.

Now, there's many different ENB's out there, I have tried a lot of them but there's only 1 ENB I'd recommend to people and that's CryENB V3, I've been using this one for quite a while now and I've taken by far the best Screenshots I've ever took with this ENB, I can't stand to play GTA IV without an enhancer knowing this amazing work-of-art exists!

Texture Mods

The GTA Universes' humourous take on shops is kind of funny for the first couple of years but after a while you wanted something more realistic, real brands, shops, taxi's etc. Well, the only texture mods I've personally tested are ones that transform Liberty City into New York City...

I played with 1.0.7.0 back in the day not 1.0.4.0 if that's of any help.. but this was a very long time ago

So none of these mods work now, right? The last time I tried even with a downgrade patch my game didn't launch or got past the loading screens.

hello, ive got a problem on the countryside map mod. textures wont load, ive changed my graphics config and still doesnt, only a few of them. how can i fix this?

does this have a mod that change GTA IV vehical control and steering from GTA Trilogy or GTA V? otherwise I will never touch GTA IV (I only liked story, graphics and physics).

Most of the mods in gtagaming are still there in archive state but they've changed the way the links work.

I was able to download CryENB v3 this morning.

Just go to the main page and search the exact title of the mod you want fro this list. Not sure about other sites.

They want to recreate the trilogy that got them money, 3, vice city, and san andreas, but it still doesnt excuse the fact that they basically said "Our game, our rules."
