Renaming weapons, ranks, without using a nametag. (CLIENT SIDED.)(NOT OUTDATED.

This guide will show you how to rename your weapons without using a nametag, and if you're desperate for that rankup why not just rename your rank to the next one that you desire? :D

However, the new names that you'll be using for your guns are only visible to YOU, others will not see it.
You will not get VAC-banned for doing this, and you won't get kicked from the server because of sv_pure.

WARNING/REMINDER: The file resets every update, so make sure to backup the few lines you want.
Also, for mac or linux just find the files and do the same ♥♥♥♥♥

oh and as for it resetting every update, copy the contents of csgo_english.txt

then create a new .txt file, and rename it to (EXAMPLE, YOU CAN NAME IT W/E YOU WANT) csgo_engrish.txt

then paste the edited contents in it. then open csgo's launch options and add -language engrish in the launch options

and then no more worrying about the updates resetting ♥♥♥♥. hfhf.

Section 1: Finding the files you'll need, Renaming weapons.

IMPORTANT: YOU WILL NEED NOTEPAD++ FOR THIS. I just couldn't do it with any other program. Open this page: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/ , Then select this option.

Install it after it finishes downloading.

Now, you need to navigate to find a file called "csgo_english.txt"

On a 64bit system, it will be located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\resource

On a 32bit system, it will be located at
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\resource

Right click on csgo_english.txt and select "Edit with Notepad++"

After it opens, press Ctrl+F and type "SFUI_WPNHUD". It will take you to the line, and it will say

"SFUI_WPNHUD_AK47" "AK-47" http://i.imgur.com/ojOeB0r.png

Change the "AK-47" to anything you want, in my case it's "KLUTCHINIKOV", as shown in the prior image.

Now screw with the names as you want, I've renamed my default knives, and all my weapons.

Follow the same steps in Section 1, but press Ctrl+F and find "SFUI_ELO" and it will take you here:

Rename the ranks to whatever you want, They'll show up the way you name them.

I'm stuck at DMG so to make myself look cool I renamed DMG to "Fake Eagle".

Rainbow GE:
"SFUI_ELO_RankName_18" "The G l o b a l Elite "

can do same for all other ranks

SECTION X: COLORING THE WEAPONS/PHRASES.

As it turns out, it supports html code, which means that you can give it a font, or color it!

To color it, follow these simple steps. (I'm an idiot so idk how to make it simpler.)

Now, what I did there was take a html hex color code (which you can generate here: http://html-color-codes.info/ ) and place it there. TADAH, it actually worked and the letters now show in red.

Section 3: Other info

Now, you are not only able to just rename weapons and ranks. You can rename options, notifications, and everything that uses letters in the game. Just search through the file and you'll find some pretty interesting ♥♥♥♥.

after editing the file, rename it to csgo_engrish.txt or whatever so it doesn't get overwritten everytime the game gets updated.

then in launch settings put -language engrish

if that doesn't work (its supposed to, 99%...) do -language csgo_engrish
