Azimuth - Creative Card Game

Description
Azimuth is a game where you make the cards and trade them with your friends and opponents. Whether your playing for keeps, and the winner of a match is awarded one of the losers cards, or your swapping trophies with a friend, spreading your cards and collecting cards from across the map is a huge part of Azimuth.

The gameplay of Azimuth is simple. Players take turns playing their cards on a 4x4 grid. Each card has numbers on the edges of the cards. Where two edges meet, battle commences, and the higher number determines the outcome. Capture more cards than your opponent to win.

Matches tend to be fast and decisive, lasting only a few minutes. You can learn to play with a simple deck made of index cards or scrapes of paper. After you've mastered the basics you can make your first real set of cards in minutes, or take days creating artistic cards that represent you and your deck.

Azimuth was inspired heavily by the minigame Triple Triad in Final Fantasy 8. I wanted to make a game that had a low barrier to entry, a reasonably high skill ceiling, and something people anywhere could start as soon as they learned of it. Most importantly, I wanted to capture the feeling of being able to challenge and play with anyone and everyone, and because you make your own cards from anything you want, anyone can make a deck and start playing in minutes.

Rules for the physical version of the game are also on our itch page. The gameplay is exactly the same, but the pdf has rules/tips for making and printing your own cards to play with IRL.
