F/A-18 (and some F-16) VWS and RWR Sound Mod

This is a mod that includes mostly F/A-18 and some F-16 sound replacements for the VWS and RWR. I made this mainly for myself but maybe others would enjoy it too.


Im so glad you asked! Most of the sound mods already on here had some sounds that were missing due to there not being a warning available for whatever event it was for. I didn't really like that. It's honestly such a non problem, but I prefer to have ALL sounds working so that I know exactly whats going on and also because I'm used to them, so I made my own pack to combine F/A-18 sounds with the F-16 sounds to fill in any missing sounds that the F/A-18 doesn't have (e.g chaff and flare alert) and replaced other alerts/warnings that didn't exist on either with whatever sound from either of them sounded more fitting for that warning


In order for this mod to work, you need to subscribe to Custom Sounds by thegreatoverlordofallcheese and enable it in the mods screen in the main menu.

Make sure you unsubscribe from any other RWR/VWS sound mods! Being subscribed to multiple sound mods will cause the sound mods to conflict and will mix them together and you'll end up with a mix and matched RWR with different warnings from different jets on the same RWR. This is because the Custom Sounds mod, when enabled, also enables any and all sound mods it detects, so only have one subscribed to at a time.

Also, I did lowkey yoink a few sounds from some other sound mods because I could not find a sound for something specific (like the HUD collision warning) and other sound mods had a sound for it, so if you really care that much about it just lmk and I'll change it or something.
