What is steam broadcasting?
As the name suggests it allows you too watch other people play games and let people watch you play through out the new beta progamme via steam.
So I want too watch people play/broadcast but it isn't enabled on my steam account.
Simple

Just follow thses steps:

First go too steam on the top right and select "settings"

Secondly, the window that opens up should have this:

Click change.

Finally, go to the pull down window and select 'steam beta update'.

Congratulations you can now broadcast and watch other peoples games!

Want to see who is the most viewed broadcaster right now?

Go too the community of the desired game or the broadcast tab and see who has the most viewers.

Watching :: Okay, it is enabled but what do I do now?
Well if you want to watch someone else play the game they too need to opt into the beta. Link them to this guide or demonstrate it yourself..

Ok, so now your friend or the desired user has the beta enabled and they are in-game right now how do I watch them play?

Firstly you can go too the friends tab and click the arrow on the said person:

Then click watch. Well done you are now watching someone play.

Broadcasting :: Okay, it is enabled but what do I do now?
Too broadcast you must be in-game

When in-game go to the steam tab menu and go too settings:

Then go too the broadcast tab:

Now you will come up with this page:

This is a very important window as it gives you the options too how you broadcast. It is pretty self explanatory...

The privacy setting
You can select who can view your broadcasts, if you want everyone to be able watch it enable everyone to watch it. Your video will appear on the community hub although without many viewers it will be hidden under a wall of other more popular broadcasters.

You can also set it so that only your friends can see it.

The video dimensions
Will determine the quality and size at which you broadcast. 1080p being the best quality and biggest size. However, this is a sacrafice for in-game performance if your computer isn't beasty.

The bitrate setting
This will determine how fast your broadcast responds, a low bit rate means that your viewers will be watching you in the past. A faster bitrate means more information quickly to viewers which means less lag for them however more lag for you if you internet connection cannot handel it.

The chat setting
This shows where the chat of your viewers will be, you can see that chat in-game however it can get in the way of your HUD.

The other options enable you to chose if you want people to be able to see your desktop, hear you talk through a microphone and show statistics E.g. how many people are viewing you.

Remember your broadcast will only start when a person is watching you. You will get a notice when you get a viewer.
Conclusion
Pretty simple really. If you have any questions please comment below. I also broadcast TF2 competitive scrims so check regularly if you want to watch me:

I got a message saying Steam has set your broadcast to good performance, what does this mean?

So... If i put bitrate to 750 (lowest) will it improve my net or less demanding on the net? So instead of being able to do it 720p at 2500kb/s i can do 1080p instead with 750kb/s? Honestly it makes no sense for me, whenever it is sent out, it will lag the net anyhow. Will ''record desktop'' put additional ''load'' on your net OR card?

Question: does the certain amount of viewers affects the performance of streaming?

I don't think bitrate has to do with how much the stream lags
