Less Cultures (European Cultures Exempt)

Description
Merges all cultures that:

Have the same cultural traits and;
Have the same heritage and;
Are not far too far away from eachother (european colonial cultures still in place).

Note: all european heritages cultures are not merged in this version, this includes not only europe but also european cultures in the americas.

You can take a decision that after taken will merge all cultures and apply the same effect every 10 years so nothing strange happens.

An issue crops up with Hail Columbia - I understand this isn't in the base game so I totally get if you want to keep this as a PSA instead of adjusting the mod for it.
If you're playing Hail Columbia, taking the decision will render the Indian Removal JE impossible to complete because it checks for pops of particular Native heritages. This typically happens within the first few years so it's not as big of an issue as the Pacify that Steppes JE for Russia.

@UuuU Fixed!

Hi,
I have encountered problem with "Pacify the steppes" russian journal entry. It checks for countries with kazakh culture but this mod merges all central asia into one central asian culture. Therefore it is impossible to annex kazakh subjects. May you consider changing basic culture in central asia to kazakh or remove kazakh from list of cultures to be merged.

Got an error in my debug.log:

- Added a decision to update homelands, removing the merged culture one and replacing them with a homeland that culture merged to.

Note: some states may end up having duplicate homelands, however that doesn't change anything, don't worry.

@Andaraxi I will see what I can do about that without compromising the compactability of the mod, in the mean time I have some suggestions for those who have the same problem.

New homelands mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3104861812&searchtext=homelands

Dynamic Homelands mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3066163472&searchtext=homelands

Hi,

First of all, I appreciate the concept behind this mod and the way the merges are handled is generally solid.

However, I’ve run into a critical issue: when multiple cultures are merged, the resulting new culture only retains the homeland of one of the original cultures, rather than combining all the homelands of the merged group. This leads to an inaccurate and restrictive homeland setup for the new unified culture, especially in cases where the merged cultures were spread across different regions.

This undermines the utility of the mod, as it introduces inconsistencies with how homelands should logically function post-merge. It would make far more sense (and be more functional gameplay-wise) if the new culture inherited all homelands of its component cultures.

Just wanted to flag this in case it's something you can address in a future update.

Thanks.

This + Consolidated Nations legitimately improves game performance dramatically and keeps the general flavor alive. Bravo!

You are welcome, thanks for doing Africa so tastefully, usually mods like these just make all black people one culture, you did a great job!
