A retro train is a themed train in the St. Petersburg metro, launched in 2015 for the anniversary of the metro, and also styled after the first trains that began running in the Leningrad Metro in 1955.

- Design: The exterior and interiors of the carriages recreate the atmosphere of the 1950s and 1970s - wooden seats, lamps, plaques with inscriptions in the style of the mid-20th century.
- Route: Runs on the Kirovsko-Vyborgskaya line (line 1), usually on holidays or commemorations.
- Features: Inside there are exhibitions dedicated to the history and structure of the subway.

Interesting facts:
- The first retro train was launched in 2005 to mark the 50th anniversary of the St. Petersburg Metro.
- Often used for excursions and special events.
