Exception HD 1.5 ReMix

Description
The original Exception has been finally remastered for Fusion! This is a remaster of my original 2012 SS3:BFE campaign, with extended levels, added secrets, details and features.

Netricsa has broken down causing her AI to go haywire as Mental's forces invade Serious Sam's brain. Enter the mind of Serious Sam himself in this mappack inspired by Psychonauts and Inception, as Sam struggles to retain his sanity and repair Netricsa.

Find out if self-acclaimed Professor Finzy is just washed...or are things still funky?

Features;

* 2 fully playable levels so far, Dream Collapses and Madness Begins (2 more coming in a later update)
* Extended levels with more playtime, playable areas and secrets
* Rebalanced enemy encounters from the original, and new enemies added
* Graphics greatly improved from the original SS3:BFE release, with retextured models and new lighting and more details added throughout the levels
* Comes with featured player models, including Rayman, Monkey, Ismo and Seppo (more planned to be added with updates)
* New and replaced soundtrack in parts
* Up to 195.75% more madness in Madness Begins
* Added mailboxes to provide narrative
* Tasty new things to discover

Recommended to be played either on Hard or Normal difficulty for a first time playthrough. I've tested and finished it on Serious, it is doable but it will offer a significant challenge and you will need to find the secrets to have a chance. Fusion also adds some extra difficulty to standard SS3 enemies that the original mappack did not have (i.e homing/new attacks).

If playing in co-op, Serious difficulty with some extra enemy strength is recommended, depending on player count.

There is a 3rd intermission level added so you can continue playing from there once the remaining levels are added!

Known issues:
- Loading savegames can break NPC despawning in Madness Begins if you load a save before reaching the wooden table (leaving them alive and possibly confusing enemies)
- Reloading a save while talking to an NPC can also break their despawning, reload an older save if that happens
- 2 remaining maps still being worked on
- Player models still need work for CTF models and animation updates for SSHD. Still using some legacy models for stuff that could be replaced later

That was fun! Didn't have such unique experience in a while. Reminds me of good ol 2013-2015 times

If the maps don't load for some reason and you get an error about a missing BatchedParticlesPlain.mtr file btw, you can try installing Essential Fusion Fixes mod. I didn't resave some of the particle effects from the old SS3 version so there's still some causing issues and I will fix it in a patch later.

Thanks for the feedback! I can try adding those barriers in an update, iirc the original map does have a barrier only for enemies around the main big cube, but everything around it still needs some. And yea there's some spots in the second level where that might happen. I also noticed that I forgot to add a secret entity for one of the bigger secrets in the second level, so I'll update that.

It’s a blast on Hard difficulty really cool. On the first level, I’d add barriers so the monsters can’t fall off the map ( although it's probably logical that they fall ) and remove all the secret platforms during the fight with Khnum. On the second level, the monsters sometimes lack any tactics, If I back off a little, they just fall into the abyss.
