A few tips and comments before we start
1. There are 5 Headless Mini-Bosses in the game. Three on the land and two underwater. Because of that, in order to be able to defeat all of them, you have to obtain "Mibu breathing Technique, which we get after defeating Corrupted Monk at the end of Mibu Village;
2. When fighting Headless, it is advised to use tools/items which neutralize terror effect, or increase our damage against this type of enemies, such as divine confetti or Mottled Purple Gourd;
3. The Headless on the land have two deathblows, those under the water - only one;

A few tips when fighting Headless:
- the Headless cannot attack you if you're behind them. When they do their sword combo, it is worth do dodge that in order to get behind them;
- the Headless fighting on the land create a mist, which slows you down;
- when Headless dissappears, simply turn back and you'll stop his special attack, gaining the chance to hit him a couple of times before he attacks you again;
- don't use divine confetti before fighting the Headless underwater, as the divine confetti doesn't work underwater!

Ako
The first Headless may be found right at the beginning of the game. Teleport to "Outskirts Wall - Staircase" Idol in "Ashina Outskirts" Area and go up the stairs. After passing the gate, turn right and pass the other gates. You'll come across a shrine with a warning concerning Headless. Run path the shrine and go down, in the direction of the cave.

After that, go straight and you'll come across the arena of our first Headless.

Reward: Ako's Spiritfall - increases vitality and posture damage for a time.

Alternate Path: You can also get to this Headless from the "Bell Demon's Temple" Idol in "Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo" Area. The hidden path is right behind the wall on the screenshot below.

Gokan
To get to the second Headless, teleport to the "Under-Shrine Valley" Idol in "Sunken Valley" Area. Turn around and go in the direction of two shooters.

Ignore the spirits and go to the end, where you'll come across the body of water. Dive into the water and at the end, you'll come across cave with our second Headless.

Reward: Gokan's Spiritfall - reduces posture damage taken for a time.
Gachiin
Before fighting this Headless, it is adviced to defeat Mist Noble, which is in the same area not far away!

The third Headless may be found not far from "Hidden Forest" Idol in "Ashina Depths" Area. After teleporting there, jump down and go straight. After a short time, you'll come across the Headless.

Reward: Gachiin's Spiritfall - camouflages the player, making it easier to sneak past enemies.
Ungo
The fourth Headless may be found underwater. Teleport to "Old Grave" Idol in "Ashina Castle" Area. Turn around and go through the gates, then turn right and go through the other gates. After you come across the bridge, jump into the water. The Headless is in the corner of the reservoir.

Reward: Ungo's Spiritfall - reduces vitality damage taken from physical attacks.
Yashariku
The last, fifth Headless is located at the bottom of the lake. Teleport to "Flower Vieving Stage" Idol in "Fountainhead Palace" Area and jump into the water. The Headless (and his twin brother) are located next to the glowing Great Carp's skeleton. It is definitely the hardest of all the Headless fights. REMEMBER: You only have to defeat the real Headless. The spirit-clone will dissappear as soon as you defeat the original Headless!
