Introduction

This guide is my main informational guide. An achievement guide will follow eventually once I get closer to 100% completion and I figure out the best methods for obtaining some of the harder achievements.

Currently the wiki is under construction due to how new the game is. So, apart from the official Discord, this will most likely be your best source of information for the time being. If you encounter any bugs, please post a detailed description of what + how it happened in the Discord (#chronomon-bugs)
Discord - https://discord.gg/Cd2U3EQdgV
Wiki - https://chronomon.wiki.gg

Any controls mentioned in this guide will be referring to mouse/keyboard. Controller controls will be added at a later time.

This guide will continue to improve over time as I play the game.
It will start out with a lot of tips, until I sort them into categories as time goes on. Please be patient + bare with me. <3
Beginner Tips
Some useful things to know when first starting out:
  • READ ALL DIALOGUE CAREFULLY IN THIS GAME, DON'T SKIP AHEAD!

  • You can skip making a login for a cloud save when starting a new game in the bottom left corner. You'll be able to register a login later on through the in-game settings menu if you change your mind. This cloud save login allows you to continue on other devices if you own the game on it, but you MUST save at the PC in your home before trying to transfer it.

  • Interact with the environment using SPACEBAR, there are sometimes hidden items in the scenery or on the ground!

  • Hold SHIFT while walking to face the same direction while moving other directions. Helpful when trying to use tools/interact with certain things.

  • It doesn't matter what starter Chronomon you choose, all of them are available in the wild later in the game with a very low chance of spawning at specific areas.

  • By default, using any tools in your hotbar will auto-swap to the correct tool (except the watering can). If you're trying not to cut trees down, you can shake them instead by equipping anything other than a tool. (You can turn off auto-swap in the Settings (Cog Icon) then pressing "Other").

  • You can move furniture without breaking it. Simply left-click and hold, then drag it to where you want to move it to. This can also be done between indoors/outdoors if you don't let go of your mouse! You can also rotate some furniture by right-clicking while you're dragging it, or by holding SHIFT and interacting with your character.

  • The yellow bar in the top right corner is your energy, but the red bar that follows it is your stamina. Both can be regained from sleeping, but only energy (yellow) can be regained with food. Your stamina (red) is an indicator of the max amount of energy that can be restored before you must go to sleep again. Think of it as a temporary energy cap as your character gets sleep deprived.

  • If your Chronomon gets in the way too much while following you, click the "star" icon in that Chronomon's summary menu in your Party menu (the "C" icon) to get it to stop following you, or command it to "stay" on the right side of the screen.

  • Hovering over a wild Chronomon with your mouse will show you their level so you can prepare accordingly.

  • Good early game foods that can restore either energy or Chronomon health include Cooked Meat and Fish Fillet. Cooked meat is made by using meat, sometimes found after defeating wild Chronomon, and cooking it on a campfire (which must be crafted via the crafting menu (hammer icon)). As for Fish Fillet, it is done the exact same way, but you have to catch a Bass through fishing first (Refer to the Fishing section of this guide).

  • Mon Essence uncommonly drops after defeating Chronomon in battle. It is needed to make "CIM Cards" (Pokeballs) and to unlock the scanner from Slothrik, who is the first NPC you see west of your farm.

  • At night, wild Chronomon will randomly spawn and attack you if you are not in a farm/town. This occurs between 10pm - 6am. During the day, groups of Chronomon have a chance to spawn together, and will help each other if you attack one, making it a multi-battle. The loud siren that blares loudly around 8pm is there to warn you that night is approaching. If the siren is too annoying, it can be toggled off in the settings menu under "Audio"

  • Levi will visit your sell box and take all the items you wish to sell at exactly 7:30pm. The money will be sent to your mailbox at midnight/12am.

  • Midnight/12am is when the day actually advances. Your crops will progress a stage at this time as well. There is no need to sleep to advance the day like other similar farming sim games, and there is no penalty for staying awake all night.

  • If you run out of energy (yellow bar, top right corner) or get attacked by a wild Chronomon while all of your Chronomon are dead, you will pass out/die. This causes you to:
    - Respawn at your farm with roughly half energy
    - Lose 10% of your money
    - Puts all your items (except tools) in a gravestone that you will need to walk back to in order to get your items back
(As of right now, DO NOT pass out in the randomly generated floors of the mine or you will lose your items permanently).

  • I recommend using your bed to restore energy and usually leaving food to be used for healing your Chronomon.

  • If you don't have food, the only other way to heal your Chronomon is to put them in the PC inside your house (top right corner) and wait. This is also the only way to revive your Chronomon in the early game after they lose all their health. While in the PC they will slowly regenerate their health and move points while real life time goes by. As of right now, advancing time via sleeping will not progress this.

  • The apples and berries you pick from trees/bushes while off the farm will respawn at a low chance when a day passes.

  • The TV in your house is important for unlocking a bunch of crafting and cooking recipes, watch the special channel on Wed/Sat/Sun, similar to how it works in Stardew Valley.

  • In the first town (Camillia), Amelia's house (North-East corner) contains several bookcases containing some lore and the following cooking recipes: Cream, Butter, Bread, Fish Fillet, and Fish Sticks (Fish Sticks will be required for a side quest from Jackson the town guard).

  • Only the NPCs with a "Friendship" meter (the bar above the chat window) matter in relation to town reputation/popularity. Reaching the reputation amount required in Camillia, as indicated on the job board will unlock the sewers.

  • You can increase friendship with an NPC by:
    - Talking to them everyday
    - Gifting them everyday (equip an item in your hotbar and select it before talking to them)
    - Doing jobs for them at the job board once unlocked

  • The bees that chase you when you disrupt their hives at your farm will disappear way faster when it's raining. There is also a small chance for a "beehive" Chronomon to spawn instead of bees.

  • Seeds can be bought from the shop NPC in the South-East corner of Camillia. The stock should rotate daily.

  • Planting seeds and watering them the day before the season changes to the one required for that crop, you will get a 1 day head start once the season actually changes. Being prepared pays off!

  • After selling an item in the sellbox, the specific sell price will be recorded and found in the "Encyclopedia" section of the Collection tab (Trophy icon) in the ESC menu.

  • Levi's construction store won't open until you finish helping the town of Camillia and then finish his side quest. This will unlock the ability to repair the buildings/structures on your farm, and will also let you move them around.

  • A good money making method early game is to start fishing as often as you can, buying more and more worms from Oliver whenever you can. You will always turn a profit if you don't fail most of your fishing attempts. This should help you build enough money to start farming larger amounts of crops easier, giving you an additional income.

  • The "Exp Share" from Pokemon is named "Unity Charm" in this game. You can buy it from Oliver's shop (the sexy bald guy) in Camillia for 800.

  • Any easy way to reset/respawn wild Chronomon is to go inside a building. This is useful if you want to grind levels faster or more easily search for rare Chronomon.

  • The "Rare" (Shiny) rate is 1/3072, as stated by the developer. This is subject to change for balancing in the future, and there are player levels/items to increase these odds.
Farm Types + Layouts
When beginning the game, you get to choose what type of farm layout you'd like. As of right now, this is a permanent choice for your save file.

Each farm type has its own specific fruit that grows on its trees.
- Normal = Apple
- Beach = Coconut
- Hills = Orange
- Forest = Pear
- Islands = Peach

Below is a screenshot of each farm layout. They are in the same exact order that is shown when making your save file.
Ignore the placement of the buildings/structures apart from the brown house with a window, that one is correct and is your actual house.

Normal:

Beach:

Hills:

Forest:

Islands:
Crops + Seasons
Seasons:

^ This is Autumn ^
  • Spring = Purple (Trees?)
  • Summer = Green (Sun)
  • Autumn = Orange (Leaf)
  • Winter = Blue (Snowflake)

Farming:
Spade/Shovel: Used to till soil. Soil will stay tilled forever until you undo it yourself. This can be used to prevent debris (sticks/rocks/trees) from randomly spawning on your farm each day if you don't want it to.
Watering Can: Use it everyday on your crops, otherwise they won't advance a stage at midnight. It has unlimited uses and doesn't require to be refilled.

Seeds can be bought at the shop/stand in the South-Eastern corner of Camillia (the first town). The selection of seeds will rotate each day. More seed shops with different seed varieties can be found in towns further in the game.

Some crops will give multiples each harvest, and some crops can be harvested multiple times throughout the entire season every time they complete their growth cycle again.

If you plant seeds and water them one day before their proper growing season, you will get a 1 day head start once the season actually changes.

As of right now, crops/seeds don't seem to die, you can just leave them for when the proper season returns and continue growing them again. (This is likely to change in the future)

Crops:
Linden Seeds: Will grow pine trees (they look pointy), doesn't need to be watered, and can be planted almost anywhere without needing tilled soil. Obtained occasionally while clearing debris on your farm.

Chronomon Information
Important:
If your Chronomon's level is more than 5 levels above your Character/Player progression level, then your Chronomon will sometimes disobey while in battle, and do nothing. The chance of your moves failing increases as the gap between the two levels increases. Keep this in mind when training your Chronomon.

To find your Character/Player Progression level, navigate to the ESC menu, and go to the first tab (player head, far left) and it will say it on the left page, right below where it also says your remaining EXP/Energy.

Scanner:
Important: The scanner is vital to use in order to obtain important information on Chronomon and will give you their proper name instead of ????. This info includes the max stats a Chronomon can have, and the locations where you can find that Chronomon in the wild. You can find this all in the "Chronodex" tab (Blue circle icon on the right side) in the ESC menu.

How to Obtain: Slothrik, the first NPC you meet west of your farm, will give you a Scanner for some Mon Essence. Mon Essence are uncommonly obtained from defeating Chronomon in battles.

Heal/Revive/Status Effects:
There are two ways to heal and restore move points for your Chronomon:
1) Putting them in the PC in your house (top right corner) to slowly heal over time.
2) Using food/items on them by clicking it in your inventory and then clicking the yellow "C" icon. This can also be done during battles by selecting the bag icon at the bottom right.

To revive your Chronomon, opening the PC in your house will automatically do it for your entire party. This is the only way to do it early game, until you get a consumable item that can do it for you while away from home.

To remove status effects (Poison/PSN for example) from your Chronomon, leave them in the PC. After they heal past 1/2 health, the status effect should disappear. Eventually, you'll be able to craft consumable items for this.

Chronomon Friendship:
The hearts in your Chronomon's summary indicate its friendship level.
Each heart represents 60 points. Each quarter-heart is 15 points. The total goes up to 300 points.

At specific thresholds, your Chronomon will learn commands:
50 - Stay
100 - Command
200 - Skills

You can gain friendship by:

Wild Starters:
There is a low chance to find starter Chronomon in the wild at specific locations. Sometimes if your RNG is good enough, you can find a group of them.

Pyrlingua - Camillia Zone 3 (North of Camillia, between it and ViceVale)
Incheon -
--- -

Rare (Shiny) Chronomon:
The "Rare" (Shiny) rate is 1/3072, as stated by the developer. This is subject to change for balancing in the future, and apparently there are player levels/items to increase these odds.

To be continued.
Fishing
How to catch fish:
Preparation:
1) You need at least 1 worm in your inventory. These can randomly obtained when tilling soil with a shovel, or by buying them from Oliver's shop in Camillia for 2 each.
2) Equip your fishing rod and interact with a body of water.
3) Select your bait (worm)

Fishing:
4) Wait until the shadow of the fish swims up to your bobber to bite it. When it bites, the bobber will sink lower a little bit.
5) Once that happens, hold SPACEBAR or press & hold the little bobber icon in the bottom right corner to reel it in.
6) Stop reeling it in when the fish starts to pull back on the line, which is also noticeable by your fishing line becoming a shade of red. If the shade of red gets too dark, the line will break and you will fail, making you lose one of your bait/worms.
7) Continue starting/stopping the reeling whenever the fish pulls away, and once you get it close enough to you, you'll be done. Sometimes the fish will require you to also pull the reel up/down opposite to the fish, in addition to towards you, pay attention to that!

Fish Types:
Listed below is every fish and their sell prices. All fish listed can be caught at any time of day unless otherwise specified.
- Bass ($11)
- Goldfish ($15)
- Koi ($18)
- Catfish ($13)
- Carp ($11)
- Betta ($30) Night only
to be continued.

Junk:
- Scrap ($5), used at Levi's Upgrade Shop to fix the teleporter at your farm.
- Clay ($1), can be smelted
- Boot ($1)
- Seashell ($5)

Water Chronomon:
There is a slim chance to catch a water Chronomon when performing a successful catch. These are useful to have working on the farm, since they can water crops for you.

Upgrading Tools
How to unlock Tool Upgrades
SPOILERS AHEAD
First, you must help save Camillia:
1) Gain enough reputation (300) to unlock the sewers.
2) Beat or catch the giant slime in the sewers and turn on the generator.
3) Beat Mr. Oink and his henchmen in the building furthest west in town.
4) Johan, a new "smithing" NPC, will move into the building you just cleared out. Talk to him.

Next:
5) Repair the smithy with 50 wood + 25 stone at the job board.
6) Talk to Johan again while he's at his computer screen, you will learn how to make metal bars. He will be the person you must talk to in order to upgrade your tools.

Finding ores and making bars:
7) Find copper in the mines, which is located south-west of Levi's house (South of town). The floors in the mine are randomly generated, and the layout will be reset if you leave and re-enter.
8) Craft a "Forge" and place it down. It needs a fire source via a fire Chronomon.
9) Get a fire Chronomon to work on your farm through the PC. A Pyrlingua (starter Chronomon) works for this, or catch a wild Chicklit north of Camillia in Camillia Zone 2.
10) Put copper into the Forge. You'll know it's working if the fire Chronomon actively lights the furnace while the timer counts down. As you upgrade your tools, you'll have to go deeper into the mine to get better ores, such as iron.

Tool Upgrades:
Johan's Smithy: 8am - 6pm

Each tool upgrade will make them cost less energy when used. Some will also break things faster, while others will apply to a larger area.
