What are traits?
In Once Human, Deviations are special companion creatures that assist players in various ways, such as crafting, gathering, combat, and exploration. Each Deviation has a set of Traits—these are passive abilities or modifiers that affect:
  • The Deviation's behavior or performance
  • The player's base stats or activities
  • The overall effectiveness of your base and resources

Why traits matter?
Traits can provide both positive and negative effects, making it important to choose the right Deviation for your strategy. Traits stack when you have multiple Deviations.
Some Traits synergize well (e.g., extra power but faster recovery).
Negative Traits may be worth it if the positive effect is powerful enough.
Certain base zones (like Oil Fields or Pollution Zones) can activate special Trait effects.

They generally fall into these categories:

Trait Category
Description
Mood Traits
Affect Mood capacity or Mood recovery speed
Power Traits
Modify Deviant Power limits or power usage during tasks
Crafting Traits
Alter crafting speed, crafting cost, or resource production
Exploration Traits
Influence stamina, movement speed, or loot while exploring
Base Building Traits
Affect storage, resource efficiency, and territory resource production
Negative Traits
Debuffs such as slower speed, reduced resource output, or increased consumption

As well as a column identifying each trait as one of the trait types mentioned in the "Why traits matter?" section. (i.e. Efficiency Above All | Crafting Trait)

A section of TL;DR synergy combos would be welcome on this post.
