All Gourd types | locations

This guide contains the locations of all gourd types: Purple, Red, Green and White.

Withered Red Gourd

This gourd may be bought from Noble Pot Harunga (Found at the beginning of the Hirata Estate) for 2 Treasure Carp Scales.

Withered Red Gourd:
- Reduces Burn Buildup
- Increases Burn Resistance

Especially useful against:
- Bandits with torches
- Centipedes

Green Mossy Gourd

This gourd may be bought from the Toxic Memorial Mob merchant for 1800 sen. To reach him, teleport to Bodhisattva Valley Idol in the Sunken Valley. From there, turn back and go down in the direction of the poison pool. Go further and you'll stand against Elder Monkey wielding two swords. After defeating it, you'll find Mob merchant just outside the entrance to the cave.

Green Mossy Gourd:
- Reduces Poison Buildup
- Increases Poison Resistance

* Especially useful in the poison pool and against:
- Lone Shadows
- Interior Ministry Loneshadows
- The Drunkard mini-bosses

Mottled Purple Gourd

This gourd may be bought from Exiled Memorial Mob for 1800 sen. To reach him, teleport to Mibu Village idol in Ashina Depths. The Memorial Mob is located just below the Idol.

Mottled Purple Gourd:
- Reduces Terror Buildup
- Increases Terror Resistance

* Especially useful against:
- Headless
- Shichimen Warrior
- Headless Ape
- Ape Duo

Five-Color Rice

Instead of reducing effects/increasing resistance, this gourd leaves a rice on the ground, which acts as a landmarks for the player.

This gourd may be bought from Shugendo Memorial Mob for 1600 sen. To reach him, teleport to Shugendo Idol in Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo area. After that, turn around and jump in the direction of a wooden planks. You will find Memorial Mob at the end.
