Casuals guide to unlocking skins ( 2.0! )

I will share how I as a casual player obtained the monsoon mastery and other skins in hopes that other casual player who may be intimidated or frustrated will be able to as well. My previous Guide is no longer valid after several updates over time since I made it so here is the 2.0!

Starting Out

(Optional Start "Artifact of Rebirth")
This artifact is from dlc by donating an item to the Shrine of Rebirth you will have it at start of you next run while you have this on. Donating once will unlock the Artifact so don't worry if you don't have it.

Find Halcyon Shrines a green pillar on the first stage, if you don't find one loop around back to the first stage. Take a chill run through Drizzle (Don't forget to always take the green portals or you will need to loop around again) and drop a preferred Item in the donation bowl. Ceremonial Dagger is my go to but it may be to aggressive you want to get some survival to survive the early stages of monsoon to get the ball rolling "Mired Urn" or "Titanic Knurl" Yellows may be more useful than some legendary. Trophy Hunter's Tricorn (orange Item looks like a blue musket) is a good way to farm Yellow quality.

*STARTING OUT*
This will most likely be the hardest part of the whole run

To start (set to monsoon if your after that skin) then choose artifacts: You will want Artifact of Command (looks like a crown, allows you to choose items). I also used Artifact of swarms (looks like three orbs in a circle, doubles spawns but half's their health)

The first thing your going to want is "Topaz brooch" (looks like a yellow badge, white quality item) this will allow you a temporary shield on kill that will be extra useful with the swarm artifact and spawn rate of monsoon also with the adds on bosses it will be a nice shield to have (shield is also not effected by heal block effects). Next you will want the crowbar(more damage to healthy enemies) to get easier activation of the brooch as well as a spread damage item such as the green quality ukulele. around 3-4 items in you will want to start the first boss try not to linger too long.

If the start is difficult rushing to a Shrine of the Forest or Turret bot, Heal bot Purchases can help sustain you till you get an Item. You shouldn't need your cash for anything else with Artifacts on.

Altar of Gold

While it should show up more often with sacrifice on Altar of gold more likely to appear after portal/green portal. Gilded coast can show up on the Lunar Seer in the bazaar, halcyon shrine will also spawn gold portal if you’re on the path of the colossus or you’re on stage 4/5. (Altar of Gold can spawn on any map and on any stage count, except the first stage.)



Essentially you want to sit in the mini boss room (Gilded Coast) without spawning the boss (Just don't buy all the pillars) and just farm the mobs for item drops till you are overpowered enough to face roll the boss holding your desired skin. The lower the difficulty and stage you get in with the easier it will be to idle farm it Usually stage 3.

(Note if you are going for the Dlc Skins from Meridian, the final stage with all the meteors also doesn't advance the difficulty timer. The stage can also be farmed for monster item drops indefinitely with artifact of sacrifice on if your brave enough or geared enough to ignore them)
