🌞 Sol Warriors: Divine Legions Unleashed
Unleash the unstoppable. Command the divine. Rule with fire.

⚔️ About the Mod

Sol Warriors introduces a collection of powerful, stylized Men-at-Arms regiments built for epic sandbox campaigns, legendary rulers, and mythic storytelling. Inspired by divine warrior traditions from across the world, these elite regiments will forever change the way you wage war in Crusader Kings III.

Summon warriors like:
  • Jaguar Infantry, Tiger Warriors, Crocodile Warriors
  • Leopard Skirmishers
  • Eagle Pikemen
  • Mastadon Cavalry
  • Ostrich Cavalry and Ostrich Cavalry Archers
  • Fire Lancers and Rocket Javelineers
  • Juggernauts and Hwachas

Each unit comes with unique visuals and custom icons, crafted to blend seamlessly into CK3’s interface while radiating fantastical, godlike energy.

Expect semi-mythical warriors, beast-mounted cavalry, and fiery siege relics—all visually tailored for immersion and style.

🧪 How Strong Are These Units?

These troops are intentionally overpowered—but balanced for fun. I didn’t just slap 1000s across the board like some OP mods (not throwing any shade).

Details:
  • Their numbers are scaled up using a consistent internal formula: 50, 100, 250, or 500 points across the board, depending on tier.
  • No unit has stats so high it breaks the game engine more than it already is.

Why not 1000s across the board?
CK3 can’t handle extreme values well—some mods break AI levy counts or crash into negative damage. This mod avoids that. It’s powerful, not broken. Note, that even in Vanilla, the right stacking of bonuses can cause these issues to happen.

🛠️ What's Next?

I'm working on::

  • Sol Warriors (Basic) – (Soon tm) Same flavor but reduced to the bare bones.

  • More mods with this flavor – (further down the road) I will soon begin working on a Religion + Culture mod for this flavor. Once I have that set up, I will hope to create a few starting characters once the full map is released.

    ❤️ Support & Feedback

    I appreciate all the support!

    How to use the mod:
    1. In the Decisions tab, take the decision. It will take you to a popup menu.
    2. Choose a Warpriest Trait. The Men At Arms are locked behind the traits.
(This prevents clutter in the regiments tab)
    3. Once you have the trait, you can recruit troops as normal.
    4. Or through an option in the decision menu, or on the popup screen.
    5. Or a Character Interaction to help yourself (or a buddy) with non-inheritable units.

Note: Each Trait will give you access to one group of Men At Arms.
YOU choose how OP that you wish to be!

Leopard Warpriest: Unlocks MAA which have 50 in all stats.
Eagle Warpriest: Unlocks MAA which have 100 in all stats.
Crocodile Warpriest: Unlocks MAA which have 250 in all stats.
Demigod Warpriest: Unlocks MAA which have 500 in all stats.

    Compatibility:
It should work with pretty much everything!

I am making no changes to vanilla files. I am adding units, unit type, decisions, interactions, events (for the popup menu), and graphics. While the flavor or theme of this mod might not match Elder Kings 2, AGOT, or LOTR, the mod itself should work with any mod out there.

If anyone discovers a mod this is NOT compatible with, let me know and I will see what I can do ya for.

    Let them call you myth.
    Let them call you monster.

    You are a Sol Warrior.

Update incoming to fix a few flaws.

Major Update live! I am pretty well good with this one. If anyone has feedback or suggestions, I am open minded. I have other mod projects to catch up on, a few updates to my other mods, a few new mods to make. I will keep this updated as best as I can.

Last post before major update, hopefully the last one. It should only require occasional updating to keep it steady as more Expansions/DLC/Patches come out. I will keep it up to date all that I can. As of now, I appreciate all 97 of you who been patient with me, and the 28 who made this a favorite. I hope the numbers go way up, y'all are my Sol Warriors!

Once I have completed the menu system, the update will be incoming. It will not make any changes to units, so it should not disrupt anyone's saves.

I will also update the images soon, I want to show off the awesomeness.

Currently, I have the beginnings of a menu system working. Not quite ready for upload. Further updates will most likely NOT add or remove units, but will convert the decision menu choices into a single decision that gives a popup with the options.

Suicide Jockey will be moved to Stack Size = 5, because the game initially gives 5 troops then reinforce. I don't want "Start with 5 troops, then reinforce to 1 troop".

BIG update! If you have a sense of humor, I hope you enjoy the suicide jockeys to send with your uh, "problem fellas" into battle!

Preparing my next update. I will have 100, 250, and 500 strength units.

I am giving them advantage and terrain where Vanilla does, comparing to the accolade units. They will still be incredibly OP. This also facilitates the making of a basic version with maybe 3 units.

Oops, I forgot to rename the gui file, so it stopped showing troop icons in the tooltip for troop strength. I renamed the file, and all troop icons should now show as they normally would.

Updatres:
1. I was able to return the units to both forms of nomad recruiting.
The AI in my tests has not acquired any of these units.
2. Small thing, but I got the regiment icons to properly appear in the window for troop strength.
