The Modified Nambu Automatic Pistol Type A was an improvement of the original Type A pistol, which was designed by Kijiro Nambu from 1897-1902.
these guns are often better known as the "Papa" Nambu,
with the original type A as the "Grandpa" Nambu.

The Nambu didn't see a whole lot of success,
with only some commercial sales to Siam (Thailand),
and adoption by the Japanese Navy in 1908.
Despite being a very good pistol, it chambered the rather weak 8x22mm Nambu which didn't take advantage of the gun's strong locking action.
The locking system is derived from the Mauser C96.
About ~10,000 Type A Pistols were made,
which is almost nothing compared to the later type 14's ~400,000

Most people know Kijiro Nambu from his Type A and later Type 14 pistols, but he did A LOT more.
The Type 38 & 99 rifles, type 96 & 99 machine guns and type 100 SMG, these are very good guns, the pistols are the less impressive designs.

I recommend disabling hovering highlights, it lets you see the gun a lot better.
Open pause menu, go to Settings, and in 'General' there is 'Show hovering highlights'.
