Description
The SED 240 is a small catenary electric shunter built by Atlas under their Atlas Mini line of locomotives. It is a highly capable dual cab shunting locomotive, with the ability to chain multiple together to increase pulling power, and remote control capability from a handset controller. This unit is owned by Neorail and is used to shunt passenger trains at end stations

Startup
To start the SED 240, go into the cab and press the "Move Pantograph" button on the relay panel to the left of the A side control stand. Then, sit in either seat and press "Request Master" to put that cab into control. You can then use your hotkeys to increase and decrease your target speed and target brake.

If you would like to stop controlling the train, you can press "Release Master", and if you don't want any other cab to take control of the train you can flip the "Lock Master" switch. If you would like to control the train from a remote controller, you can flip the "Remote Control Mode" switch on the RC panel to the left of the B side control stand and set a channel with the arrow buttons. The light will turn green after a second or two, assuming there aren't any cabs on the train that have master and are locked.

Controls
Relay Panel
  • "Master Isolate" will disconnect all relays and isolate battery
  • "Battery Charge" shows the batteries energy in kilostormjoules, with the maximum capacity being 12.8 kSJ
  • "Move Pantograph" moves the pantograph up and down
  • "High Voltage Transformer Contactor" connects the pantograph to the traction motor grid
  • "Low Voltage Transformer Contactor" connects the pantograph to the systems grid
  • "Systems Train Interconnect" connects other units in the train to the systems grid
  • "Traction Train Interconnect" connects other units in the train to the traction grid
  • "High Voltage System Overcurrent" is enabled when infinite electricity is on. This also disables the unit from moving
Auxiliary Panel
  • "Remote Control Mode" will attempt to claim master of the train and allows you to control the train via a handset controller
  • "Remote Control Active" will be on when the RC system has successfully gained control of the train. If this doesn't light within 3 seconds of activating RC mode, ensure the current active cab doesn't have master locked and flip the switch on and off again
  • "Remote Control Channel" is the current radio frequency the RC system is listening on
  • "Remote Control Channel Up" and "Remote Control Channel Down" change the RC channel
Control Panel
  • "Request Master" attempts to assign control of the train to this cab
  • "Release Master" releases control of the train, if this cab has control
  • "Lock Master" prevents any other cab from taking control of the train, if this cab is in control already
  • "This Cab Is Master" shows if this cab is in control of the train or not
  • "Set/Request Emergency" will send an emergency request to the active cab. This button must be held for half a second to function
  • "Cancel/Reset Emergency" will reset the current emergency, or deny emergency requests from other cabs in the train. This button must be held for one second to function"
  • "Emergency Status" is off when there is no emergency, blinking when another vehicle or cab requests an emergency, and solid when an emergency is active. If not denied, any pending emergency will automatically become a full emergency after 6 seconds"
  • "Target Brake" shows the current brake power target for the train. If the cab is active, you can adjust this with up/down
  • "Target Speed" shows the current speed target for the train in km/h. If the cab is active, you can adjust this with W/S
  • "Reverse" puts the cab into reverse, which inverts the direction of the train and limits the top speed to 25 km/h. This can also be toggled with hotkey 1
  • "Speed" shows the actual speed of the train in km/h
  • "Brake Power" shows the current actual pressure on the brakes
  • "Motor Power" shows the current actual throttle of the motors
  • "A Coupler Disconnected" and "B Coupler Disconnected" are enabled when the A and B couplers are disconnected, respectively. Note that the position of these indicators on the stand is relative to which cab you're in; the indicator on the right will always be the coupler in front of you and the indicator on the left will always be the coupler behind you
FAQ
I can't request master
Make sure the current master cab has "Lock Master" disabled. Also make sure the overcurrent warning is off
The overcurrent warning is on
Disable infinite electricity
My cab is master but I can't drive
Make sure the pantograph is raised and the High Voltage Transformer Contactor is connected. Alternatively, enable a power source on another SRC/TCP compatible locomotive and turn on the Traction Train Interconnect
Refer to the Change Notes tab for updates, I go through and label them all
