Scorpion lore and story.
By 🔥 Hexen95 (Dragonfire) 🔥
Scorpion is one of my favorite MK characters of all time, so let's get into some lore and some things I find cool about his character.

Scorpion (also known as Hanzo Hasashi) is a revenant fire ninja that was resurrected by Quan Chi and killed by Bi-Han (the original Sub Zero.) The Mortal Kombat tournament served as a way for Scorpion to get his vengeance.

Before he became Scorpion.
He was known as Hanzo Hasashi, he had a family and clan known as Shirai ryu, who were all murdered by Sub-Zero and his Lin Kuei clan. Hanzo Hasashi found himself reborn in the netherrealm, a sort of hellish dimension full of fire, demons and hellspawns. He then became known as Scorpion, and used primarily his new hellfire element to get vengeance on Sub-Zero and his Lin Kuei clan.
Scorpion's abilities and skills.
Scorpion's natural element is hellfire and he is most commonly associated with flames. Scorpion is immune to the element and uses it to confirm the death of his opponents. His other abilities include summoning and necromancy but he is most commonly associated with hellfire, and he rules this element. Scorpion is a impressive warrior especially with how he uses fire, it takes a lot of effort to control flames, hellfire is something that most commonly is known to consume you not exactly something you control, Scorpion has mastered hellfire.
The Mortal Kombat tournament.
In either timeline Scorpion is successful in defeating and killing Bi-Han, but in the new timeline Raiden offers Scorpion a chance to get his clan back if he spares Bi-Han. I am not gonna spoil too much If you haven't played MK9 but there are some changes that occure in this tournament's timeline that wasn't in the original. Mortal Kombat has a lot of different timelines and it can be difficult to really keep track, but that is what makes Mortal Kombat great, there are many cool characters and events that happen in it.
Mortal Kombat and its characters.
There are a lot of cool characters and events but if you are interested in Mortal Kombat I recommend you go to where it all began. You can still get physical copies sometimes if you are lucky of the original Mortal Kombat trilogy, and believe me there is a lot to this universe so it is very easy to lose track :) believe me I don't blame you, but as a long time fan of the universe I can easily tell you Scorpion remains one of the most iconic for me.
