Use ANY controls [2025] No external program needed

You don't need the other (copy paste award farm) guides that ask you to install third party programs when Steam has native support! Works for basically any game!

Step 1: Go to Settings

Top left corner, click Steam and go to settings

Step 2: Go to Controller Section

In the list on the left side, click "Controller"

Step 3: Enable Steam Input

Enable Steam Input for your device

Step 4: Change controls

Click on Undertale or any other game in Steam
ON THE RIGHT SIDE IS the Controllers section (See arrows)
Click "View Controller Settings"
It will open a dialog to choose from community ones. I suggest this one made by Timmynoturn
