Warshade

Description
Adds Warshades to the game through one offensive and one defensive skill tree. Based off of the deceased City of Heroes class.

Full wizard trees with spells, support, and a few hidden synergies. More integration, combos, synergies, and polymorphs to come!

Umbral Blast
Masters of the void, Warshades can manipulate dark energy, gravity and matter to blast and dominate their foes. The gravimetric nature of most Umbral Blast powers often slows or weakens the target.

Lvl 0 - Dark Sustenance
Your body is inhabited by a Kheldian, a being from outside our galaxy. This symbiotic relationship may grant you boons when you kill enemies.

Lvl 1 - Shadow Bolt
You can emit a beam of dark energy from your eyes, dealing light damage.

Lvl 2 - Gravimetric Snare
You can hurl Gravimetric fibers to snare your foe. Gravimetric Snare can root a single target and crush him.

Lvl 3 - Shadow Step
You can Teleport yourself long distances through a dark matter wormhole.

Lvl 4 - Dark Detonation
You hurl a blast of Dark Matter that violently explodes on impact, damaging all foes near the target.

Lvl 5 - Sunless Mire
Sunless Mire can drain the essence of all nearby foes, thus increasing your own strength. Each affected fo will lose some Health and increase your physical and magical power.

Lvl 6 - Gravity Well
Mastery over the forces of the gravity and dark matter allows you to capture a single foe and crush him in a Gravity Well. The target is paralyzed and helpless, while he is crushed and slowed by the massive gravimetric forces.

Lvl 7 - Essence Drain
You tap the primal forces of your Nictus power to create an Essence Draining conduit between a foe and yourself. This will transfer Health from your enemy to you.

Lvl 8 - Quasar
You can explode in a tremendous blast of negative energy, sending nearby foes flying. The Quasar deals massive damage to all nearby foes, although the damage does vary. Affected foes will be knocked back and possibly stunned. Activating this power leaves you drained of Mana, and unable to recover any Mana for a while.

LATER UPDATE:
Lvl 8-ii - Dark Nova
Kheldians are master of energy and matter. A Warshade can transform into a flying energy beast known as a Dark Nova. The Nova form, also known as the "squid," is a flying, tentacled form (no relation to the FSM) based on a life form the Kheldians encountered living in a gas giant. It has inherent flying ability - not much to stand on in a gas giant, after all. (Polymorph, squishy, has 4 built-in abilities with high damage)

Umbral Aura
Warshades can generate Dark Fields to give themselves incredible defensive capabilities.

Lvl 0 - Absorption
Kheldians have a natural mild resistant to energy and negative energy damage.

Lvl 1 - Gravity Shield
You can use dark matter to gravitationally deflect physical attacks.

Lvl 2 - Shadow Cloak
You surround yourself with shadowy particles that bend the light around you, making you difficult to spot at a distance. Even if seen, the Shadow Cloak grants you a bonus to defense.

Lvl 3 - Penumbral Shield
When you turn on Penumbral Shield, you become highly resistant to fire, cold, and toxic damage.

Lvl 4 - Orbiting Death
You surround yourself with orbiting particles and dark matter that will continually damage any nearby foes with negative energy.

Lvl 5 - Twilight Shield
When you turn on Twilight Shield, you become highly resistant to energy and negative energy damage.

Lvl 6 - Stygian Circle
You can tap into your Nictus power to drain the remaining essence of all nearby defeated foes to heal yourself. The more defeated foes affected, the more you will be healed.

Lvl 7 - Inky Aspect
Inky Aspect allows you to sacrifice some of your own hit points to keep enemies near you stunned. Mana cost for this is minimal, but the power can be dangerous to use.

Lvl 8 - Eclipse
Your Dark Nictus powers allow you to tap the essence of your foe's soul and transfer it to yourself. This will drain the mana of all nearby enemies and add to your own as well as increase your damage resistance to all damage types except righteous. The more foes affected, the more mana and damage resistance you will gain. Affected foes are silenced and unable to recover mana for a while.

LATER UPDATE:
Lvl 8-ii - Black Dwarf
Kheldians are masters of energy and matter. A Warshade can transform into a massive unstoppable essence draining beast known as a Black Dwarf. The Dwarf form, also called the "lobster," is a slow moving, tough form that is derived from creatures that lived on the surface of a very dense dwarf star. It's very durable, and has an inherent self-teleport ability. (Polymorph, tanky, has 6 built-in abilities)

Changelog:
June 16, 2016:
Finally fixed the Starless Step bug! Now correctly teleports the player, and applies a debuff that makes subsequent Starless Steps drain 10 additional mana for 12 turns.

All images and power ideas originally created by Cryptic Studios and NCsoft, creators of the discontinued City of Heroes game.

Ya know, you should probably just friend each other so you can talk quickly that way.

I have made it so this is the only mode I am subscribed to. The only mod that shows up in the launcher is a completely different mod.

If you subscribe to the mod, it will automatically be added to your mods list. You then need to check it off when you launch the game. Note that there are still a few issues with this mod (mostly the teleport doesn't work as described).

...wait, where's the mod????????
CAI-TAn Nov 16, 2018 @ 8:14pm
I can't believe I get to play Dungeons of Dredmore as a fucking Kheldian. Damn I miss CoX. You gotta be at least older than me... respect, man.

For some reason this isnt showing up as an option in my launcher? Has this not been updated for a patch or something?

sweet just give me a poke if/when you find the time to run the fix and then I will test the mod out.

Hmm, that's very odd... I re-uploaded recently to fix some issues with the teleport skill, but I don't think I screwed up the upload _that_ badly... I'll have some time to run through the update process this weekend, and can hopefully fix the issue then!

For some reason subscribing to this mod dosn't give you the Warshades, instead it gives the Focused Passives mod instead...
