Cyberpunk Crafting: Turning Trash into Treasure

It no secret that Night City is a mess. This guide will show you how to turn ''junk'' found on the streets, into upgrades for your favorite weapons.

Collecting Junk

Literally just run around and pick up all the junk you can find. Junk doesnt have any weight so pick it all up. Also, following this guide will give you engineering exp.

Disassemble Your Junk

Open up your menu and navigate to your backpack and over to the ''Junk'' tab.
You can see how much of each type of crafting components you have on the left side. Disassembling junk will give you Tier 1 crafting components.

Make sure you dont have any expensive jewelry you can sell before disassembling junk. Select the ''Disassemble Junk'' button in the lower left corner. I DIDNT KNOW THIS BUTTON WAS HERE FOR A LONG TIME....

From Tier 1 to Tier 2

After disassembling all your junk, head on over to the crafting menu.

Scroll all the way down to the Tier 2 section of the crafting menu, color coded green. From here we're going to turn our Tier 1 crafting components into Tier 2 crafting components.
Select the component in the image below and hold the crafting button to turn 5 Tier 1 components into 1 Tier 2 component.

From Tier 2 to Tier 3

Scroll up to the Tier 3 section, color coded blue. Select the component in the image below and hold the crafting button to turn 5 Tier 2 components into 1 Tier 3 component.

From Tier 3 to Tier 4

Scroll up to the Tier 4 section, color coded purple. Select the component in the image below and hold the crafting button to turn 5 Tier 3 components into 1 Tier 4 component.

From Tier 4 to Tier 5

Scroll up to the Tier 5 section, color coded orange. Select the component in the image below and hold the crafting button to turn 5 Tier 4 components into 1 Tier 5 component.

Upgrade your Favorite Weapons

Now that all of your junk has been turned into Tier 5 crafting components, you can use those components to upgrade your favorite iconic weapons so they hit even harder. Just go over to the ''Upgrade" section of the right side of the crafting menu and select the weapon you'd like to upgrade.
