Smart Work Mode

Description
Mechs in Work mode waste a lot of energy wandering around idly when there is no work for them to do. This mod adds a new work mode for mechs called Smart Work. Smart Work functions the same as Work but with the following differences:
  • There is no patrol activity for combat mechs.
  • When idle, mechs go into self-shutdown (similar to Self Shutdown mode) to recharge slowly, but will wake back up when more work becomes available.
  • You can set an area (per control group) for idle self-shutdown in the Mechs tab. Mechs will move to that area before shutting down to charge.

Mine was in general I think it might have been a mod incompatibility, reloaded to an earlier save and it fixed it so ignore my previous comment I guess

@NIMSQUID @PrittyPinkOne Is this also related to the Dead mans switch mod or is this in general? I'm not seeing this issue on my end.

Think i see the problem with the wonder thing: Seems that you may have set a flag to work off of group 2 or another group rather than on group 1. Would need to do more research into it though.

Yea I also had an issue with almost all my mechs aimlessly wandering. Tunnelers and fabricors would work but every other mech would wander aimlessly, mod worked as intended but one day the mechs got dumb about it. Had to install and us wvc work modes after that which is a shame cause I like this mod more than wvc no clue what went wrong

There appears to be a minor issue with the mechs from Dead mans switch just wandering aimlessly when in a group set to smart work mode

It seems my paramedics have issue rescuing pawns when in Smart work mode. When a paramedic reaches the downed pawn, it immediately enters self-dormant next to the pawn and sleep there. They rescue just fine if I put them in a control group with normal work mode.

@Industrial Idiot I'm not familiar with that mod but skimming through the description it seems to do much the same thing as this mod, right? Is there a reason you would need both?

Say if you have not already done it would it be ok if you added compatibility with the mech spots mod?
