The Following DLC - The Secret Ending

A hidden ending can be found in The Following expansion, which activates separately from the games main quest storyline. You can start the process of unlocking the hidden ending when you acquire the Military Keycard. Crane will get that item from Jasir, when he advances in The Gathering story-related quest enough.

Note - Similarly to the games two endings once you complete the full campaign in the DLC, the game will allow you to continue the journey after completing the hidden ending. You won't lose the possibility to complete the side quests, or to acquire all the secret items.

Items Required

There are three items required to proceed with this secret ending, these items are the following:

• Nuclear Access Codes
  
  
• Military Transport Key
  
  
• Military Activation Card

Locations

To get the items required to proceed with the secret ending, you have to go to the following locations;

• The Nuclear Access Codes:

  In order to get to the hidden ending, you must first acquire a number of story-related items, which can be gathered in any order. The first item you need is the access code needed to arm the nuclear warhead.
  
  
  To acquire it, get to a small island shown on the above screenshots - it's located at the eastern end of the map, near the town.
  After reaching the mentioned Island, ignore the nearby chests and dive into the water. You must locate a sunken box - a corpse is drifting near it. Open the box and collect the plan-like Nuclear Codes.

• The Military Transport Key

  Afterwards, you have to acquire the Military Transport Key. In order to do so, head towards the warehouse shown on screenshot, located near the granary, at the southern section of the map.
  
  
  The warehouse can be recognized by one of the Freaks of Nature (a Behemoth) located inside. Best way of approach is to use camouflage and with stealth gain access to the orange box containing the Transport Key.
  
  
  
  

• The Military Activation Card

  Another object to acquire is the Military Activation Card. In order to get the item, head towards the dam located at the south-western section of the map.
  
  
  You must dive into the water at the dam and locate a deceased military soldier.
  Turn the corpse around and pick up the Military Activation Card from underneath the soldier.
  
  
  
  
  
  

• The Locked Trailer on the Highway

  You can now head to the last location. A segment of the highway. It's located at the center of the map (near the safe zone on the highway).
  
  
  Upon arrival, look for the locked trailer of a truck and use the keycard on the cardreader to the right of the door, in order to get inside the trailer.
  
  

Once you are inside, you'll have to figure out the final steps. Have fun and enjoy!

The Reward

Once you initiate the secret ending you'll recive an outfit as a reward to wear when you continue to play.
