Silver Lys Swords & Shields

Beschreibung
BE AWARE: If your game crashes when saving with mods installed, it's a known in-game issue. It should be fixed soon by the game developers. There is a tool to temporarily fix this issue: Modlist Cleaner[www.nexusmods.com]

Version 1.1 is out!

To optimize the mod, I redid all the waffenrocks textures from version 1.0, so the heraldry may look slightly different, but the mod should run more smoothly.

I will probably not add more waffenrocks or shields to this mod. In short, most of the textures used (id_textures) are managed dynamically. And adding too much can be resource intensive by just being present in game.

If the mod doesn’t work, please check this discussion tab
Merchants restock take 7 days so if you don't want to wait you need this mod

Description
This mod adds multiple variants of personalized gear (see changelog for more details) :
v1.1:
  • Redid textures of all 15 short waffenrocks to optimize the mod and refine some details.
  • Redid sword textures for a slightly better look.
  • Swords stats adjusted.
  • Added 14 new shields.
  • Added 3 new short waffenrocks, 9 mid-length waffenrocks, and 13 long waffenrocks.
v1.0:
  • Adds 2 longswords, 2 shortswords, with recipes to forge them.
  • Adds 15 waffenrocks.
  • Adds 21 Shields.
Gear added as new items and can be purchased from a blacksmith in Kuttenberg (position on picture). Or you can add them directly from the dev console.

Compatibility: Mod is PTF(Patched Tables Files) so this should work with others mods unless they use the same shop (in this case, only one mod will be shown in the shop but you can still add with console dev the items).

Check my other mod Silver Lys gear if you want to complete it with armors and more waffenrocks.

Console commands

To obtain these items with the console command go to your steam library, right clic on the game > Properties... > General > and in LAUNCH OPTIONS write: -devmode

In game press ~ or ² to open dev console

for the item IDs go on the discussion tab

Credit: I used some of the coats of arms from WappenWiki.[wappenwiki.org] This is a really interesting website that lists a wide range of coats of arms from about 1100 and onwards.

Thanks to the creators of these modding tools, which are very helpful:
KCD Texture Exporter[www.nexusmods.com]
KCD PAK Builder[www.nexusmods.com]KCD Asset Finder[www.nexusmods.com]
And to those who participate in this very helpful ModdingWiki.[modding.wiki]

This mod has no intention of being 100% historically accurate. It is for fun and inspired by what things may have looked like.

Hi, everyone!:KCDIIHorn: I just made a post in the discussion tab for those who are having issues getting the mod to work, where they can find information that might help.

I'm already in the process of making something like that ;)

Great mod, Red Hazmat! Thank you for sharing!

Might it be too much trouble to ask for a shield and waffenrock combining the arms of Bohemia and Luxembourg together, quartered? I think it would fit, thematically! :) Unless you are already in the process of making something like that, in which case... carry on! :)

Thanks for taking the time to do this, I and many others greatly appreciate it.

is this compatible with hardcore mode?

Compatibility with the realish weapons&armor mod would be much appreciated! Unfortunately with it these weapons become extremely OP. If you have the time to do it, I'd be very thankful :)
