"Time for Milk" Dedicated Achievement Guide

A guide on how to unlock the game's most troublesome island visitor: Milk.

Introduction

"Unlocking Milk as a possible visitor is designed to take a significant amount of time and effort."[hellokittyislandadventure.wiki.gg]

As of writing this guide, it isn't even possible to have Milk as a resident yet due to how little time the game has actually been available via Steam, even if you've purchased the Deluxe DLC. Regardless, I hope that this guide may serve as a starting point for many of you who are finding themselves in the late-game and remain curious as to how to unlock Milk as a visitor.

I will be assuming for the purposes of this guide that one already has a basic understanding of the methods in which you can attract island visitors, and has fully-unlocked the entirety of Cloud Island.

If any of the above doesn't apply to you - be patient and progress the game normally. You have a long way to go!

Time for Milk
Have Milk as a 5 Star Visitor
Self-explanatory.

Part 1: Cafe Cinnamon (Cinnamoroll)

The following five (5) sections cover in-depth how to get the first 5 members of Cafe Cinnamon and Azuki ready for progression - this includes Mocha, Chiffon, Cappuccino, Espresso, and Azuki.

All members of Cafe Cinnamon are required to be at maximum friendship or have reached Permanent Resident status - this means getting them to 5*s and inviting them to live on your island - in order to unlock Milk.

Cinnamoroll

Cinnamoroll is required to be at Level 20 (maximum level) in order to progress the following quests. The best way to do this is to gift him 3 items each day until he reaches Best Friend status. Below is a list of gift recommendations from best-to-worst as of the 2025 Spring update:

Chocolate Chai
Grants the highest amount of friendship per-gift. Has multiple recipes, however the most resource-conscious one has been chosen for this guide. Available with the Espresso Machine upgrade.
Candlenut + Chocolate Coin + Cinna Bloom

Spicy Pumpkin Latte
Good option if low on Chocolate Coins. Available with the Espresso Machine upgrade.
Candlenut + Pumpkin + Cinna Bloom

Espresso
A slightly lesser option if low on Chocolate Coins. Available with the Espresso Machine upgrade.
Candlenut + Magma Bloom + Cinna Bloom

Molten Frappe
A slightly lesser option if low on Chocolate Coins. Available with the Espresso Machine upgrade.
Candlenut + Magma Bloom + Snowcicle

Chai
The ideal gift before obtaining the Espresso Machine upgrade.
Candlenut + Cinna Bloom

Candied Banana Coffee
One of the cheapest options mid-game, however requires the Espresso Machine upgrade.
Candlenut + Candy Cloud + Banana

Pink Latte
A slightly lesser but cheaper before obtaining the Espresso Machine upgrade. Has multiple recipes, however the most resource-conscious one has been chosen for this guide.
Candlenut + Strawberry

Cinnamon Bread
Can be obtained even at the earliest stages of the game. Has multiple recipes, however the most resource-conscious one has been chosen for this guide. Crafted via the Oven.
Flour + Cinna Bloom

Spicy Pizza
A similar option opposed to the above if running low on Flour. Has multiple recipes, however the most resource-conscious one has been chosen for this guide. Crafted via the Pizza Oven.
Dough + Cinna Bloom


You've likely gotten a respectable amount of progress in this area already. Thankfully so, as all of the following quests and characters depend on your friendship with Cinnamoroll being at Level 1 or above in order to progress.

Mocha

Mocha may visit your island every 4 weeks regardless of island unlocks or season. Her visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must have two (2) Cozy Beverage (Tag) items - any item made using the Espresso Machine:

Candlenut Coffee
This includes any and all beverages made at the Espresso Machine.
Candlenut + Any + Any (Optional)

• Must have five (5) pieces of Clothes (Tag) on display (see "Clothing Stands" below). As of the 2025 Spring patch, you are able to put multiple clothes onto clothing stands:

Clothing Stand
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 10 Sand Dollars or made at a Crafting Table for 5 Sticks.


Mocha's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Chiffon

Chiffon may visit your island every 4 weeks regardless of island unlocks or season. Her visitor requirements are an unusual selection of decorations from all five (5) distinct biomes of the island, and may be first found in various treasure chests before being unlocked as potential stock at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop). The list of furniture is as follows:

Coastal Decorative Plant
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 3 Sand Dollars once found in a Treasure Chest at the following location west of the Island Resort on the Hopscotch Islands:

Spooky Lounge Sofa
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 20 Mushrooms and 3 Light Stones once found in a Treasure Chest locked behind a Puzzle Room at the following location in the Spooky Swamp:

Rustic Bookcase
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Shinies and 3 Feathers once found in a Treasure Chest locked behind a Puzzle Room at the following location atop the Gemstone Mountain:

Pirate 'Chest' Dresser
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Seashells once found in a Treasure Chest locked behind a Puzzle Room at the following location west of Rainbow Reef in The Trench:

Tropical Bed
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Obsidian Shards once found in a Treasure Chest at the following location underneath Mount Hothead in the Lava Caves:

Chiffon's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Espresso

Espresso may visit your island every 4 weeks regardless of island unlocks or season. His visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must have three (3) Music (Tag) items. This includes a wide variety of items including Music Boxes, CDs, the Volcanic Guitar, and more. The easiest items to obtain that fit this criteria are as follows:

Volcano Soundtrack
Excellent value. Created via the Crafting Table or collected during the Crane Craze game.
1 Mechanism + 5 Toasted Almonds + 5 Obsidian Shards

Mountain Soundtrack
Excellent value, however a preferred use may be in gifting as it's Pekkle's 3 Heart gift. Created via the Crafting Table or collected during the Crane Craze game.
1 Mechanism + 5 Feathers + 5 Shiny

Music Box
Any of the music boxes are wonderful options if you're running low on Mechanisms, however they each require one (1) Ingot to craft. Obsidian Shards can be replaced in the recipe by various common region-specific materials consisting of Seashells, Sand Dollars, Shinies, or Mushrooms to make different kinds of music boxes. Created via the Crafting Table or collected during the Crane Craze game.
1 Mechanism + 1 Ingot + 5 Obsidian Shards

• Must have three (3) Bookshelves (Tag). This includes any furniture item that has the Bookshelf Tag. I will provide an example below, however any bookshelf will work:

Costal Bookshelf
One of the earliest obtained and easiest to acquire bookshelves in the game. Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Sand Dollars once found inside of a Treasure Chest at the following location in the western portion of Rainbow Reef:

(Chest can be found hugging the southern wall of the Kelp Maze.)

Espresso's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Cappuccino

Cappuccino may visit your island every 4 weeks regardless of island unlocks or season. His visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must have two (2) Bakery (Tag) items - any item made using the Oven:

Cake
This includes any and all bakes-goods made at the Oven.
Flour + Any + Any (Optional)

• Must have two (2) Cozy Beverage (Tag) items - any item made using the Espresso Machine:

Candlenut Coffee
This includes any and all beverages made at the Espresso Machine.
Candlenut + Any + Any (Optional)

• Must have two (2) Pizza (Tag) items - any item made using the Pizza Oven:

Pizza
This includes any and all pizzas made at the Pizza Oven.
Dough + Any + Any (Optional)

• Must have two (2) Soda (Tag) items - any item made using the Soda Machine:

Soda
This includes any and all sodas made at the Soda Machine.
Fizzy Crystal + Any + Any (Optional)


Cappuccino's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Azuki

Azuki may visit your island anytime regardless of island unlocks or season. She only has a single visitor requirement: to craft all 13 Yummy Furniture items (excluding the Yummy Wallpaper and Yummy Flooring) and place them into her cabin, the recipes of which are scattered all over the map - though most are located inside of Red Hot Ruins.

Either one of the Yummy Bed or the Yummy Double Bed will count towards her 13 required pieces of furniture - you do not require both.

Yummy Bed
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Cozy Islands and crafted at the Crafting Table.
20 Milk Breads (Oven) + 50 Sand Dollars

(Flower in the middle of one of the lesser islands, north-west of a small rock sat in front of some foliage.)


Yummy Armchair
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
10 Spinip Alfredo Pizzas (Pizza Oven) + 50 Sand Dollars + 20 Pineapples

(Chest atop a small ledge accessible by a ruins door.)


Yummy Dresser
Blueprints can be found inside of a Gift Flower atop Mount Hothead and crafted at the Crafting Table.
50 Mushrooms + 7 Tofu Pizzas (Pizza Oven) + 1 Woodblock

Yummy Lamp
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
50 Sand Dollars + 20 Spinips

(Chest atop a small island south-east of the puzzle sat amongst some large rocks.)


Yummy Bookcase
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
10 Sakura Cakes (Oven) + 10 Sakura Puddings (Dessert Machine)

(Chest hidden in the north-west, at the base of the main pillar that the puzzle takes place on.)


Yummy Side Table
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
50 Mushrooms + 7 Veggie Pizzas (Pizza Oven) + 1 Woodblock

(Chest on a small platform that's jutting out of the side of the main structure.


Yummy Coffee Table
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
8 Spinips + 12 Sugarkelps

(Chest atop the highest point of the platform in the north-east corner.)


Yummy Mirror
Blueprints can be found inside of a Gift Flower atop Icy Peak and crafted at the Crafting Table.
7 Strawberry Ice Creams (Dessert Machine) + Sweet Lattes (Espresso Machine)
+ Strawberry Sodas (Soda Machine)

(Flower at the edge of a ledge, nestled between a cliff-face and the end of a rope bridge.)


Yummy Dining Table
Blueprints can be found inside of a Gift Flower atop Gemstone Mountain and crafted at the Crafting Table.
7 Pink Clouds Ice Creams (Dessert Machine) + 7 Pink Lattes (Espresso Machine)
+ 20 Shinies

Yummy Ottoman
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
10 Sugarkelp Cakes (Oven) + 10 Seashells + 50 Sand Dollars

(Chest on a small platform, accessible seamlessly via the puzzle.)


Yummy Sofa
Blueprints can be found inside of a Gift Flower in the Spooky Swamp and crafted at the Crafting Table.
10 Tofu Breads (Oven) + 50 Sand Dollars + 20 Pumpkins

Yummy Dining Chair
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
10 Volcano Cakes (Oven) + 10 Pineapple Lava Sodas (Soda Machine)
+ 20 Obsidian Shards

(Chest in the south-east corner of the lower platform of the puzzle.)


Yummy Potted Plant
Blueprints can be found inside of a Treasure Chest on Mount Hothead in Red Hot Ruins and crafted at the Crafting Table.
5 Woodblocks + 20 Coconuts + 50 Sand Dollars

(Chest in the corner of a north-western section of the platform, next to a brazier.)

Azuki's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Part 2: Cafe Cinnamon (Coco)

Reaching 5* with all of the aforementioned residents and completing any subsequent Friendship Quests that they unlock, (excluding Azuki) will allow you to begin the "Little Friendship From Cafe Cinnamon" quest.

Upon completion, you will be able to invite both Coco and Nuts to your island as potential residents, to whom the next two sections - including this one - will be dedicated to.

Coco

Coco may visit your island at any time during Summer and Winter during the week. His visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must have three (3) Bookshelves (Tag). This includes any furniture item that has the Bookshelf Tag. I will provide an example below, however any bookshelf will work:

Costal Bookshelf
One of the earliest obtained and easiest to acquire bookshelves in the game. Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Sand Dollars once found inside of a Treasure Chest at the following location above the Comedy Club in Rainbow Reef:

(Chest can be found hugging the southern wall of the Kelp Maze.)

• Must have one (1) of each of the following items:

Coconut
Can be found at various locations in the Seaside Resort, Spooky Swamp (western shore) and Gemstone Mountain (The Oasis).
A total of 29 coconuts can be found per day.

Chocolate Coin
Found around the Sunken Ship located in the north-west of Rainbow Reef, or at random from the Fwishing Well.
A total of 15 chocolate coins can be found per day.

Coco's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Nuts

Nuts may visit your island at any time during Spring and Fall during the week. His visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must have three (3) pieces of Kawaii Furniture (Tag). I will provide an example below, however any item from this collection will work:

Kawaii Bed
The Kawaii Bed - among all of the other Kawaii furniture - is immediately available as a part of the furniture shop's daily rotation. Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Sand Dollars and 3 Rubber.

• Must have one (1) of each of the following items:

Coconut
Can be found at various locations in the Seaside Resort, Spooky Swamp (western shore) and Gemstone Mountain (The Oasis).
A total of 29 coconuts can be found per day.

Toasted Almond
Can be found strewn around in clusters of three (3) at maximum on the lower, grassier levels of Mount Hothead.
A total of 15 toasted almonds can be found per day.

Coco's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Part 3: Cloud Island (Poron)

Once Coco and Nuts have reached 5* along with the rest of Cafe Cinnamon plus Azuki, the "Cafe Cinnamon Unite" quest will become available. Upon completion (along with another, unrelated quest "A Place to Art" being completed), the "A Gift for Cinnamoroll" quest will finally become available.

Upon completion, you will be able to invite Poron to your island.

Poron

Poron may visit your island every 2 weeks regardless of island unlocks or season. Her visitor requirements are a collection of any six (6) clothing items, each from a different specific festival spanning multiple months and seasons (see "Clothing Stands" below). As of the 2025 Spring patch, you are able to put multiple clothes onto clothing stands.

Clothing Stand
Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 10 Sand Dollars or made at a Crafting Table for 5 Sticks.


The required clothing is as follows:

Any one (1) piece of clothing from the Lighttime Jubilee event (mid-Dec - early-January).

Any one (1) piece of clothing from the Hugs & Hearts event (early-to-late February).

Any one (1) piece of clothing from the Colorblaze Carnival event (late-March - early-April).

Any one (1) piece of clothing from the Month of Meh event (entirety of May).

Any one (1) piece of clothing from the Paper Parade event (early-June - early-July).

Any one (1) piece of clothing from the Friendship Festival event (late-July - early-August.


Poron's visitor cabin may be situated anywhere on the island.

Corune

After the gargantuan task of unlocking Poron as a 5* resident, the "Hither and Yon" quest series will be unlocked.

Upon completion, you will be able to invite Corune to your island.

Corune

Nuts may visit your island every 4 weeks regardless of island unlocks or season. His visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must be situated in one of the five (5) cabins on Cloud Island:

(All cabin locations on Cloud Island displayed on the map after being built.)

• Must have Starfall (Furniture) Starfall wallpaper. This includes any Wallpaper that has the Starfall Tag. I will provide an example below, however any of the four alternatives will work:

Star Pattern Wallpaper
The cheapest of the Starfall wallpaper. Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 10 Stardrops.

• Must have one (1) of each of the following items:

ANY Rare Candle.
Created via the Crafting Table or collected during the Crane Craze game (at a maximum of 4 per day).
5 Beeswax + 5 Patterned Flowers (Any)

Sweet Dreams Stories
Created via the Crafting Table after the recipe is retrieved from a Treasure Chest on Cloud Island (see below).
1 Blank Book + 5 Feathers + 1 Star

(Chest on the edge of the central platform next to the south-east rainbow bridge.)

Dreamy Star
Created via the Crafting Table after the recipe is unlocked by reaching friendship Level 7 with Lala.
3 Stars

Part 4: Time for Milk (Milk)

At long last, after unlocking Corune as a 5* resident, the "Time for Milk" quest series will be unlocked.

Upon completion of the entire questline, you will finally be able to invite Milk to your island.

Milk

Milk may visit your island at any time during Spring and Fall during the week. His visitor requirements are as follows:

• Must have five (5) pieces of Kawaii Furniture (Tag). I will provide an example below, however any item from this collection will work:

Kawaii Bed
The Kawaii Bed - among all of the other Kawaii furniture - is immediately available as a part of the furniture shop's daily rotation. Can be bought at Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) for 30 Sand Dollars and 3 Rubber.

• Must have one (1) of each of the following items:

Coral Milk
Can be found atop coral, scattered around the southern half of Rainbow Reef.
A total of 12 coral milk can be found per day.

Dreamy Lamb Plush
Created via the Crafting Table after the recipe is retrieved from a Gift Flower on Cloud Island (see below).
1 Lamb Plush + 1 Dreamy Material

Thanks a ton for this guide! I was seriously stumped when Mocha and Chiffon refused to visit my island. Finding out they only show up once every 4 weeks felt like a punch to the gut. Is there some secret, top-tier reason for this or are they just playing hard to get?
