TLDR: While it plays like a love child of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley with a Sanrio coat of paint, the monetization reeks of The Sims. You are paying a premium for the privilege of not playing on Apple Arcade and as such I cannot recommend this.

I’ve enjoyed this game ever since it launched. I was looking forward to when City Town released on Steam. Today is that day and I’m upset.
I’m not against DLC, but (due to an ongoing sale) City Town is literally more expensive than the base game? I looked further into it and got further upset. There’s plans to add cosmetic packs as “mini DLC.” Again, not even upset at the idea of cosmetic packs. However, the prices of City Town and Wheatflour Wonderland are ridiculous! Especially for being additions Apple Arcade gets for free?! It’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ludicrous that they’d gleefully announce cosmetic packs with these high prices AND for the bundles including all these parts to not have a bundle discount!
It feels like I'm a second-class citizen to Apple Arcade's version of Hello Kitty Island Adventure where they pay a subscription (which unlocks several other games, mind you) while I'd have to drop $80 if I wanted all the content as soon as possible on Steam. Even if you already own an Apple Arcade subscription, which I do, there is no way to bridge the gap between the different platforms due to several factors.

Got told by my teammates that I am bad at Overwatch and should play Roblox. Bought this game instead. I don't regret by decision. I main this game now.
