Escape Bricksburg Alleyway Softlock

Solution for anyone stuck on the Alleyway segment of "Escape from Bricksburg" where the last robot is stuck inside an inaccessible room

Issue

There is a bug in many Lego games ported to pc where high framerates cause severe gameplay issues. I know of lego batman 1 having an issue with the RC car unless v-sync is enabled. In this game, high framerates are also causing softlock level issues.

You may notice (before fixing it) that only 3 robots arrive in the cutscene after building the first part of the motorbike. what should actually happen is 4 arriving, but that one is stuck behind the blue door right next to the other three robots.

Solution

Simply go to Options > Video Settings, and then set Vertical Sync to 30hz (its the only option other than off)
once you do this, make sure you got the checkpoint, then exit to the main menu, then load the save. there's no need to reload the game, just reopen the save after applying the V-Sync setting, and then you're all good to go.
