WorkProfiles

Description

"Work Profiles" is a handy RimWorld mod that lets you create, save, and switch between work priority profiles for your colonists, simplifying colony management.

- Create up to 10 priority profiles.
- Save and switch profiles with one click.
- Supports 28 languages: English, Russian, Spanish, etc.
- "Main" profile keeps default game priorities.
- Manage profiles: delete, clear, rename.
- Profiles are embedded in game saves, so they transfer with your save file.

1. Open the "Work Tab" in-game.
2. Find the profile panel at the bottom.
3. Set priorities and click "Save."
4. Switch profiles for different scenarios (e.g., "Combat," "Construction").
5. To delete a profile, select it and click Delete.

v1.1 - March 18, 2025
- Fixed a bug: now when a colonist returns from a caravan, the "Default" profile is automatically applied if the current profile does not include them. Priorities remain unchanged for colonists who did not leave the colony.

v1.1.1 - March 20, 2025
-This patch by adding support for mods with new work types (e.g., [FSF] Complex Jobs), while remaining fully compatible with vanilla RimWorld.
-Pawns now remember their last profiles and apply them upon returning from caravans, including new work types.
-It supports not only [FSF] Complex Jobs but also any other mods using RimWorld’s standard work system—everything will work seamlessly.
-Fixed loading errors for old saves when adding work-related mods, ensuring stable gameplay.

v1.2 - March 21, 2025
- Fixed a bug: When creating a profile with an empty or duplicate name, a message now appears requiring a unique name. The error no longer occurs.

It would be super cool to have this integrated with RimHUD.

Either way, a great QoL improvement for large colonies!

Having exact same issue as LooseKaboose

Same problem here. I don't even know what guidelines it follows to change the profiles all by itself. Sorry, but it's useless like this.

Hello, unfortunately i can't reproduce this bug, no one complained about this bug except you and one other user

This mod keeps changing the saved profiles as corvas_vice mentioned, if I save a profile, switch to another profile and save it, when I switch back to the first profile it's partially overwritten by the other profile. I love the idea of the mod, but it does not work as intended, there's a clear bug where saved profiles change when saving other profiles, making the mod less useful and frustrating.

@SuwinTzi you can do that with "favorites" using Work Tab or this unofficial alternative for 1.5.

@VitaKaninen Because I thought this mod created specific profiles I could assign to pawns individually, not policy wide.

IE new Pawn joins, and I thought this mod would let me assign them a profile.

Or save work profiles outside of the savefile so when I start a new colony I can just quickly assign pawns pre-made work profiles instead of manually doing it each time.
