Description

This is Scar version of Rifle with M203. Everything is the same, except the cfg filename & the feature names.

List of features available on "scar with gl.txt" cfg file in "m203 series" folder:

Scar GL User: Which type of survivor can use this (bots only/ players only/ all).
Scar GL Explosion Radius: How far the GL explosion radius is. Default value is 250, same as L4D2 grenade launcher range.
Scar GL Damage: How much the damage of the gl is.
Scar Shot Count: How many shots needed until you get a GL ammo for scar.

As the mechanisms are completely same as "Rifle with M203", you can check that mod instead for the mechanisms.

Q: "Can this be used together with 'Rifle with M203'?"

A: "Yes, it should be. That's why I renamed the cfg file along with the features."

So, with this, Nick will be able to make some zombie soup more often...

NOTES:

As scar has hardcoded burst fire mode, it will still shoot 3 bullets when using the GL. But the GL will only consume 1 ammo.

@vict00d , I'm not familiar enough with hex editing, so I'm sorry that I can't help. But there's another trick to make scar use m16 skin, by using "weapon_rifle_desert.txt" weapon script. All you need to do is making a copy of "weapon_rifle.txt" & then renaming it to "weapon_rifle_desert.txt". Then just copy-paste the original scar weapon stats, & you'll get a scar that uses m16 skin.
Anyway, you can try to go to "Modding/ Mapping" discussion section & ask for some guides about hex editing there. Probably some modders will show up & give you some tips.

@kurochama im trying to hex a skin for the m16 for the scar, this one https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1201208489&searchtext=xm177 but i am having a really dificult time trying swap them if you could help me, i would really be thankfull.

@bacorjohnray where? i try to find it but the only thing i see is an m16/w m203 scar replacement.

@bacorjohnray , you can try to check some COD MW weapon skin mods, as there are plenty of them on workshop so probably one of them has scar with gl skin.
