This Is A Layout Based Off Google Earth & The Collision Itself.

What Happened:

On February 8, 1986, A Collision Between A Canadian National Railway Freight Train & A Via Rail Passenger Train Occurred At CN Dalehurst, Near Hinton, Alberta, Canada. 23 People Died & 71 Others Were Injured. The Passenger Train, Via Rail #4 Travelling From Jasper To Edmonton, Was Actually 2 Name Trains Combined Into 1. The First Half Was The Super Continental Coming From Vancouver Consisting Of 2 Vintage Diesel Locomotives, FP7 #6566 & F9B #6633. Behind Was 1 Baggage Car, 1 Daynighter Coach, 1 Skyline Dome Car & 2 Sleeper Cars. The Second Half Was The Skeena, Coming From Prince Rupert, Consisting Of FP9ARM #6300, A Steam Heat Generator Car, 1 Baggage Car, 1 Coach, 1 Diner, 1 Sleeper & Another Generator Car. The 2 Rear Cars Were On There Way To Edmonton For Maintenance Work. 94 Passengers, 14 Stewarts & 7 Crew Members Were Onboard. The Engineer Was Mike Peleshaddy (Age 57) & Emill Miller (Age 53). The Freight Train, Canadian National #413, Had Departed Edmonton At 1:00 AM On Its Way To Jasper & Arrived At Edson For A Crew Change. The Freight Train Consisted Of 3 Engines, GP38-2W #5586, SD40-2 #5104 & SD40-2 #5062. Behind Was A High Speed Snow Spreader, 35 Grain Hoppers, 7 Bulkhead Flat Cars Loaded With 78 Inch Diameter Pipes, 45 Open-Top Hoppers Loaded With Sulfer, 20 Tanker Cars Loaded With Hazardous Materials, 6 More Grain Hoppers & Finally A Caboose. This Made The Train Weigh Over 12,804 Tons And A Total Of 6,124 Feet Long, Just Shy Of 2,000 Meters. Waiting At The Platform At Edson Were 3 Crewmen, Engineer Jack Hudson (Age 48), Mark Edwards (Age 25) & Wayne Smith Known As "Smitty" (Age 33). The Train Was Clear Of Edson At 6:40 AM. The Train Stopped At A Siding At Medicine Lodge To Allow 2 Eastbound Freights To Pass. Then It Went On The Siding At Hargwen Being Switched Off The Mainline Again This Time To Allow Via Rail #4 To Pass Them Just Like The Previous Eastbound Traffic. However As The Train Passed A Crossing At Obed Mine, It Wasn't Slowing Down. Instead It Roared Passed The Red Signal At The End Of The Siding At CN Dalehurst & Back Onto The Mainline. Meanwhile Via Rail #4 Had Just Departed Hinton, 18 Seconds After The CN Train Passed The Red Signal It Collided Head On With The Oncoming Via Rail Train At A Combined Speed Of Nearly 124 MPH. $30,000,000 From Both Railroads Are Completely Destroyed.

I Made This Based Off The Collision Itself & Google Earth. Also, I'm Thinking About Making The E Unit Series Sense Noone Has Probably Made Something Like That Yet.
