Description
Introduction :

This mod adds an event chain to the game when a rival, nemesis, the target of a murder scheme or someone from a feuding house is traveling through the domain of their enemy, giving the domain holder the opportunity to attack him directly or indirectly.

It also add a travelling event when you are travelling and one of your rival/nemesis is travelling close to you (surrounding provinces). The event gives you the opportunity to challenge him to a duel.

Event structure :

This event is tied to the domain holder. When one of your enemies (rival, nemesis, or murder target) is traveling through your domain (not your realm), there is a chance for the event to trigger, giving you the opportunity to choose between three options:

- Attacking him directly with your knights
- Paying some ruffians to do the dirty work
- Or let him pass

If you choose one of the first two options, an attribute check will trigger to determine whether it succeeds or not. In any case, you should expect casualties on both sides.

The target can reduce the chance of ambush succed by chosing hire mercenary or private army option in the travel plan.

Be aware that the event can trigger for both sides. If you are traveling through an enemy's domain, you could face the event, but all the choices will be made by your enemy, you will only face the consequences.
It also triggers between AI.

If one of the protagonist dies during the event chain from another reason (age or other event death), the event will stop to prevent bugs and error log entries


For the duel event. It triggers when you are travelling and one of you rival/nemesis is travelling close to you. It not only trigger to the travel leader but for all his followers if one of them is your revial/nemesis.

So you can ask him for a duel, if he accepts a duel event (vannila one) trigger. After, the winner can choose to execute or let go the defeated one.

Unlike the fisrt event, this one only works for player. Will maybe include AIvsAI in a future update.

Please note that, except for for english and french, I use ChatGPT to make the localization. So if you find some weird thing you can report me and will fix it.


Balance and Bugs :

The curent chance of event trigger is 15% for the ambush event and 75% for the duel event. If you find in actual gameplay it's too much or too low please made a feedback.
And if you find any bugs, report them in the comments.

update :

Now the pay ruffians option success chance scale on the intrigue duel between the domain holder and the traveller + a prowess duel between the ruffian and the traveller(before it was all between the domain holder and the traveller)
In result having a low prowess doesn't reduce the chance of success when paying ruffians
Travelling in norse culture may be more dangerous because ruffians can have the berserker or viking trait
