SMG4 - Classic Characters (Ragdolls)/(Ragdoll Pack) (REUPLOAD)

This is addon not mine. I am just uploading this to the Steam Workshop for preservation, as this was originally available for use in Garry's Mod for a short while, but was removed following the DMCA takedown fiasco in 2024. Also, I would like for anyone who plays GMod to enjoy using this addon. All credit goes to the original author, UB14, for creating the original addon. However, if they want me to remove this mod, I will respectfully comply.

However, if this gets removed through another false flagging, I'll just reupload it again. The 2024 DMCA purge may have affected me and lots of other GMod creators, but we are not alone, and we are not giving up. I refuse to be silenced like the others who have been as they try to express their feelings and concerns about it. And I will not let this community down. I stand with other creators who want to do something about this, and I want to contribute to the revival efforts. Alright, enough of my rambling.

SMG4 is an Australian adult-animated sitcom web series created by Luke Lerdwichagul, appearing on the channel of the same name. The series is a parody of the Nintendo franchise Super Mario Bros, where Mario, rather than being a hero, is usually kind of an idiot. Though the series officially started in 2011, the history dates back to 2006 when Super Mario 64 Bloopers started with a YouTuber named MegaMan765 (however ShadowMario64 is credited as having started the Super Mario 64 Machinima trend). They were basically gameplay footage of a hacked version of Super Mario 64 with various tropes SMG4 would eventually use himself such as self-inserts and text-based dialogue. These were made by various YouTubers such as MarioMario54321 and various others. Later, Garry's Mod was introduced in the second season, and the series made a full transition to it in the seventh season.

06/13/20 UPDATE: After almost 2 years, I finally updated this addon by adding more 5 new characters from the old SMG4 videos and fix the eye and eyelid textures required by the Super Mario Ragdoll Pack. Also the useless SMG4 Luigi ragdoll got replaced by my chad Cap'n Lardbutt custom model. Enjoy!

The textures were customized by me and they have their own files, not requiring the original Super Mario Ragdoll Pack addon made by Apoc Hedgie and RandomTBush. Credits goes to them for the original Mario ragdoll.

If you want the modern characters like Tari, Saiko and Shroomy, SMG4's brother Kevin just released them on the workshop. Now stop asking me!

I'm sure most of you all know who SMG4 is by now. Between the early to late 2010s, SMG4 has included many Mario content creators in his series, all of them basically being recolors of the iconic Italian plumber, as a way to continue the trend of Super Mario 64 Bloopers machinimas that were popular from back in the 2000s. Ultimately, this tradition would not be kept up forever after the end of the 2010s, and these characters were slowly phased out during the 2020s in favor of original characters being introduced into the series (for some odd reason). Based off of the Super Mario ragdolls originally made by Apoc Hedgie and RandomTBush, this classic, nostalgic addon for the 2004 sandbox game, Garry's Mod, brings the classic SMG4 characters back into the scene, and into a world where they are still accepted widely by players and community members the world over.

This addon includes features such as finger posing, eye posing, face posing, and bodygroups for the eyelids and hat. (This may be subject to change after addon testing at a later date.)
