Pepe is a frog who became a meme on the anonymous 4chan forum. He appeared in the comic book almanac "Kid's Club" (2006) by Matt Fury. 1

Three years later, the scanned Pepe page was uploaded to Fortune. Since then, the frog has become an emotional guide for the inhabitants of the network. The phrase feels good man and the frog's face, which could easily have been drawn by a person without special artistic skills, reflected the whole range of experiences of those for whom life took place mainly in a virtual environment. 1

Pepe's popularity grew, and soon he became a symbol of resistance to the American dream and the plague of success that is commonly broadcast on social media. On 4chan, images appeared with a frog that destroys "normis" (those who adore their normal pleasant life). Pepe then became a symbol of white supremacy and the presidential campaign of Donald Trump, who, due to his external resemblance, was quickly "dazzled" — depicted with a characteristic facial expression.
