Been hearing a lot from people saying that the Claude from 3 isnt the same from 2. And frankly, I've never made the connection they were the same. Claude Speed was just the name I've seen others call him in general and I just assumed it was the official name Rockstar gave him.

but thats only if you count the police files. in a radio in GTA 2 the host mentions the coming millennium, which would narrow it down to mid - late 1999. in which case that could mean that GTA III claude and Claude Speed in GTA 2 are the same guy

Claude Speeds age is 28 as said on a computer screen in GTA 2 The Moive (basically a glorified trailer if anything), If GTA 2 took place in 2013 (depending on your view) Claude Speed would be 15 - 17 in GTA III, and 6 - 8 Years old In San Andreas.
