Sorry for the late response, I never got a notification from steam for your comment.
Animation wise I'm doing nothing special. It's basically a mesh/animation that I slightly had to edit, but I also had no idea what I was doing so it's flawed. All of them use the same mesh/animation for that reason.
There's fe a max width to height ratio, if it exceeds that part of the portrait will get cut off due to the mesh and I dunno how to change that.
In terms of sending me the stuff. That's fine, but I have started adding males to all I could and would prefer to keep the new ones having both.
Oh and parts of the character can only be cut off at the bottom. If fe a antenna or antler or such falls outside the image on the left/right/top then it's unusable.
Only reason the four that don't have males don't have them is because I'm missing info or they aren't mine to begin with. I might try doing a similar thing I did with getting the fungoid (use input image), but we'll see.
It shouldn't affect playlists at all as it should take over the old spot, but check your playlist just to make sure anyway. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
For the most part yes, it's whatever I can come up with and comes out good enough.
But sometimes I might use existing stuff as a base, like fe the deathclaw looking ones are based on well Fallout deathclaws.
The 4 sets currently missing males are because I don't have a full set of generative info anymore and or never had any at all. I'll try making males for them, but no promises for those.
If it hasn't changed recently (and I don't think it has) then NO it is not achievement compatible.
Only species portrait mods that directly replace existing ones are achievement compatible, the moment it adds even a single portrait extra it becomes non-achievement.
You can however make it so you can get achievements with any and all mods.
Google for Stellaris-Exe-Checksum-Patcher and you can make it work with achievements (do so at your own risk though).
I don't touch traits or anything, that falls outside the scope of this mod and for compatibility reasons.
All I do is assign a species category (like fe lithoid). It'd have to fall under one of those.
Mechanical will do, and could always do the same as I did to the other machine, make it a player only humanoid option).
