Balatro: Five Card Draw

Description
It's Five Card Draw! But with... Balatro Jokers?

In this twist on the classic poker game, five card draw, you can now also draw jokers that will change up the rules of your game and help you beat your opponents. There are some familiar faces like Four Fingers, Juggler, and Scary Face, as well as some brand new custom jokers made specifically for this game such as Detective, Retro Joker, and Prosopagnosia!

To make things even more interesting, try Ante Mode which adds 72 new Jokers, 10 Planet Cards, and 22 Tarot Cards into the mix! Try to win the most chips each round to eventually reach the chip goal first and and emerge victorious!

To see what Jokers do, hover over them with your cursor. And to read the rules, click the button at the top that says "Notebook".

Thank you to big hokey for the decks! Link to his Balatro Decks here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3399281500

To see my designs for the custom Jokers, more of my pixel art, or some Jokers I had to repixel because their artwork was horribly low quality, you can check them out here:

Quick question, do the discarded and played cards get reshuffled to the main deck at the end of each round?

Hey guys! I need all the help I can get playtesting this game so feel free to comment here or message me about balancing issues. There are A LOT of Jokers all interacting with each other, so sometimes it's hard to gauge if a Joker is way too underpowered or overpowered. And if you don't have a specific card that you think is imbalanced, you can also send me a recording of you playing the game and that would really help too. Thanks guys! Enjoy the game.

Saw the new voucher cards. Many of them refer to the Joker Shop. Does this mean the Joker Shop variant is the standard when using vouchers?

@Red Yep! In Ante Mode, all jokers are included. But the game is in your hands. Feel free to take out jokers or put in jokers. Not like I can stop you lol. I hope you enjoy the game!

I'm checking out the rules, in the ante mode, it says to add the blue deck to the draw pile. Does that mean mixing the red and blue decks together? Does it also include the jokers from the red deck?

@Horseradish Yeah of course! No problem. And yeah, Planet Cards and Tarot Cards are Ante Mode only.
Horseradish Feb 26 @ 3:09pm
Yeah we figured shuffling them into the main deck was too overpowered lol :D And do I understand correctly that Planet/Tarot cards are only used in Ante Mode? Since Astronomer and Cartomancer are in blue deck. Thank you for the quick responses btw.

No problem, thank you for creating it in the first place. I'm looking forward to play it again.

@Horseradish My apologies! Rules for Planet Cards and Tarot Cards were put on the Astronomer and Cartomancer Joker, I could see how that could be confusing. I'll be adding them to the rules. So sorry for the confusion! I hope you guys enjoy the game!

Hello if you have more time would you please explain the rules in more detail? We checked the notebook but we are still not sure whether we should shuffle tarots and planet cards into the playing deck... Also what to do with drawn tarot/planet cards, do they count towards the 5 cards in hand or are we supposed to put them in front of us the same way as jokers? Maybe we are just slow but it's really confusing with just the rules you put in notebook ':D Maybe try putting an "example round" into the rulebook it may clear things up a little bit. Thanks it would be amazing game if we could just figure how to play lol.
