Raw gold nodes have been added, and can be mined for profit. Gold is heavy, but quite valuable. When refined, you can turn gold nuggets into gold bars, and process said bars into jewelry using leviathan pearls, or just the gold alone. Each step of the production process yields more and more profit.

Gold can be found around Obedience, The Crater, Arach, Shun, Venge, Sonorous Dark, The Pits, and Stobe's Gamble. (If it's a dangerous hellhole, you'll likely find gold there...) Gold can be mined, panned, or stolen from gold caravans in United Cities territory. The gold caravans are their own independant faction, meaning that you can still sell to the cities afterwards. Prospectors also have gold, but just as nuggets, making them another option for robbing. As one would expect, gold and gold products can be sold for a large profit to the United Cities.
