OPERATION IRON CURRENT
LOCATION: Ronde Island, CaribbeanMISSION TYPE: Precision AirstrikeOBJECTIVE: Destroy PRG’s forward airfield and eliminate enemy air assets before they can threaten our forces.


SITUATION OVERVIEW
The conflict between the People’s Republic of Grenadine (PRG) and the Free Republic of Caille (FRC) continues to escalate. What started as a dispute over "illegal hyper-industrial shrimp farming" has now transformed into full-scale hostilities. PRG officials insist their seafood operations are "sustainable and environmentally friendly", while FRC intelligence suggests they are using "genetically modified super shrimp" to overwhelm local fisheries.
Despite their outdated military capabilities, the PRG has reopened an old airfield on Ronde Island, converting it into a staging ground for their aging fleet of Cold War-era fighters and strike aircraft. Satellite reconnaissance confirms that the airfield is now housing:
✈️ MiG-19 "Farmer"✈️ MiG-17 "Fresco"✈️ IAI Kfir✈️ Cessna A-37 Dragonfly
These aircraft are a direct threat to our operations in the region. If allowed to remain operational, they could conduct interdiction strikes on our naval forces or harass our air operations. This cannot be allowed to happen.
Your mission is simple:✅ Destroy the airfield – Runway, fuel depots, hangars, and infrastructure.✅ Eliminate enemy aircraft – Prevent them from being used against us.
Failure is not an option.


MISSION OBJECTIVES
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
✅ Destroy the airfield's runway and prevent further air operations.✅ Neutralize aircraft on the ground and in the air.✅ Eliminate key infrastructure such as fuel storage, ammo depots, and command facilities.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:
⚠️ Suppress enemy AAA and defensive positions around the airfield.⚠️ Minimize collateral damage to avoid unnecessary escalation.


ENEMY THREAT ASSESSMENT
🔻 Air Defenses: Light but present. Expect truck-mounted AAA, possible MANPADS, and older gun-based emplacements.🔻 Air Force: Mostly outdated aircraft.🔻 Naval Presence: Negligible. The PRG has repurposed shrimp trawlers with machine guns.


ASSETS AT YOUR DISPOSAL
Your squadron has access to carrier-based and long-range strike aircraft, including:
✈️ J-15 "Flying Shark" – Multi-role carrier fighter. Can engage both air and ground targets.✈️ JH-7 "Flying Leopard" – Strike aircraft ideal for runway cratering and infrastructure destruction.✈️ H-6K Strategic Bomber – For when you need extra fireworks and a smoking crater where the airfield used to be.✈️ KJ-500 AEW&C – Ensures total air superiority and situational awareness.
Your air operations will be supported by the Chinese Carrier Battle Group (CBG), including:🚢 Type 003 Fujian Carrier – Launch platform for J-15s and AEW&C operations.🚀 Type 055 Cruiser & Type 052D Destroyer – Fleet air defense and missile support.


RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (ROE)
🔸 Weapons Free on confirmed military targets.🔸 Engage enemy aircraft aggressively🔸 Minimize collateral damage🔸 Fishing boats are not valid targets.

Hi - any chance this gets updated to work on latest stable branch of game and v509 of the database? Really would like to try it out but cant (or if there is something missing in the set up I need to tweak in order to get the scenario to load). Playalong Tutorial works fine but not this one?
