Aqua Vitalis

Ingredients:
Water
2x Dandelion
1x Marigold

Alchemical Process:
1. Add the dandelion to the cauldron and boil for 1 turn.
2. Grind the marigold and add it to the cauldron.
3. Boil for 2 turns.
4. Finally, distil.

Aesop

Ingredients:
Spiritus
x1 Belladonna
x1 Boar's Tusk
x2 Comfrey

Alchemical Process:
1. Grind the comfrey and add it to the cauldron.
2. Add the boar's tusk to the cauldron and boil for 2 turns.
3. Grind the belladonna and add it to the cauldron.
4. Finally distil.

Can be purchased at the Nomads Camp from Aranka.

Artemisia

Ingredients:
Spiritus
2x Wormwood
1x Sage

Alchemical Process:
1. Add the sage to the cauldron and boil for 1 turn.
2. Grind the wormwood and add it to the cauldron.
3. Boil for 2 turns.
4. Finally, distil.

Bowman’s Brew

Ingredients:
Spiritus
2x Eyebright
1x St. John’s Wort

Alchemical Process:
1. Add the eyebright to the cauldron and boil for 3 turns.
2. Grind the St. John’s wort and add it to the cauldron.
3. Boil for 1 turn using the bellows.
4. Finally, distil.

Bane potion

Ingredients:
Wine
1x Wormwood
2x Belladonna
1x Amanita Muscaria

Alchemical Process:
1. Add Wormwood to the cauldron and boil for 2 turns.
2. Grind the belladonna and add to the cauldron.
3. Boil for one turn using the bellows.
4. Add the fly agaric (mushroom) to the cauldron.
5. Finally, distil.

This recipe can be unlocked by purchasing them from Balthazar, a wandering merchant. I found his camp North West of Lower Semine Mill.

Buck’s Blood potion

Ingredients:
Oil
1x St. John’s wort
1x Dandelion
1x Comfrey

Alchemical Process:
1. Grind the St. John’s wort and add it to the cauldron.
2. Add the comfrey to the cauldron and boil for 1 turn.
3. Add the dandelion to the cauldron and using the bellows, boil for 1 turn.
4. Finally, pour.

Cockerel

Ingredients:

2x Mint

Chamomile decoction

Ingredients:
Wine
2x Chamomile

1. Add the chamomile and boil for 1 turn.

Ingredients:

1x Nettle
2x Thistle
1x Charcoal

Alchemical Process:
1. Add the thistle to the cauldron and boil for 2 turns.
2. Grind the nettle and add it to the cauldron.
3. Boil for 1 turn.
4. Grind the charcoal and add it to the cauldron.
5. Finally, pour.

Dollmaker potion

Ingredients:
Spiritus
1x Valerian
2x Herb Paris

Alchemical Process:
1. Add the herb paris to the cauldron and boil for 3 turns.
2. Grind the valerian and add it to the cauldron.
3. Boil for 2 turns.
4. Finally, distil.

This recipe can be unlocked by purchasing them from Balthazar, a wandering merchant. I found his camp North West of Lower Semine Mill. But he can also be found in other locations, as he is a traveling merchant.

Embrocation

Ingredients:
Oil
1x Eyebright
1x Poppy
1x Valerian
1x Boar’s Tusk

Alchemical Process:
1. Add the poppy and valerian to the cauldron and boil for 2 turns.
2. Grind the eyebright and add it to the cauldron.

Ingredients:

3x Feverfew

2x Elderberry leaves

3. Add the ginger.
4. Finally, distil.

Found in a book, on a bookcase in the alchemy room in Troski Castle.

Fox

Ingredients:
Oil
1x Nettle
1x St. John’s Wort
1x Belladonna
1x Charcoal

Alchemical Process:
1. Grind the St. John’s wort and nettles.
2. Add them to the cauldron and boil for 2 turns.
3. Grind the charcoal and add it to the cauldron.
4. Add the belladonna and boil for 1 turn.
5. Finally, pour.

Hair o’ the Dog

Complete the side quest The Thunderstone and give the Thunderstone to Kona.

Lead shot gunpowder

Ingredients:
Water
1x Sulphur
1x Saltpetre
1x Charcoal

Alchemical Process:
1. Grind the sulphur and saltpetre and add it to the cauldron.
2. Boil for 2 turns.
3. Grind the charcoal and add it to the cauldron.
4. Boil for 2 turns.
5. Pour into a mortar and grind.

Lullaby

4. Finally, pour.

This recipe is learned from Pavlena, Bozhena’s daughter. These are characters you encounter early in the story. The recipe is rewarded for completing the story section at Bozhena’s Hut. You cannot miss it.

Scattershot Powder

Ingredients:
Water
1x Sulphur
1x Saltpetre
1x Leached Charcoal

Alchemical Process:
1. Grind the sulphur and saltpetre and add them to the cauldron.
2. Boil for 3 turns.
3. Grind the infused charcoal and add it to the cauldron.
4. Boil for 1 turn.
5. Pour into a mortar and grind.

@pepe I find belladona in open areas some with wood laying about. Your best bet is to buy the belladonna from a vendor but a perfect potion needs 1 of the herbs to be fresh. The other can be dried. There are 3 belladonna plants on the east side of the trader shop in troskowits.

That is a huge tip. Only bellow if the recipe says it. Otherwise a boil is only lowering it and flipping the hourglass for however many turns it says.

Add here as well, to create strong potions, most of the ingredients of the recipe are not in a dried state. Mostly I used as a dried ingredient is dried nettle but the rest of the herbs are freshly picked up.

quick notes about alchemy for strong potions early in the game :
- DO NOT USE BELLOWS, unless is clearly specified in the recipe, read recipes carefully and you can find recipes where is specified "boil with bellows"
- 1 turn means 10 seconds usualy, i don't use the time sungalss, i use my phone to have 10 seconds per turn, it is much easier and much precise.
