Installing Custom Killfeed Flags/Icons for PUBG

Killfeed icons are a useful tool for easily distinguishing teams in PUBG: Battlegrounds. Thumbnail background is n1tn4t's "PUBG FlagFeed."

Why? Safe?

Flags and icons are much easier to memorize and keep track of than the usual contextless colors and numbers of the default PUBG killfeed. Because of this, many high-level players have started using killfeed icons to help them better follow the action in the game.

These packs use ZERO third-party software, and will NOT get you banned. Replacing the observer icons has been a feature for years and is regularly used by tournament organizers and pros.

Installing a Pack

1. Download the pack you would like to use, and extract the "Observer" folder. Downloads for some popular packs are listed further in the guide.
   
2. Naviage to your PUBG saved configurations folder. The easiest way to do this would be by pressing the WIN+R keys and pasting the following into the newly opened Run dialogue: %LOCALAPPDATA%\TslGame\Saved
   
3. Paste the "Observer" folder from your download into the directory.

The Observer folder should contain a TeamIcon folder, as well as a Teaminfo.csv file. If your folder does not contain these, you may have copied the wrong directory, and the mod will not function.

Uninstalling

1. Naviage to your PUBG saved configurations folder. The easiest way to do this would be by pressing the WIN+R keys and pasting the following into the newly opened Run dialogue: %LOCALAPPDATA%\TslGame\Saved
   
2. Remove the "Observer" folder.

PUBG FlagFeed helps players keep track of teams using memorizable, simplified flags. There are over 100 icons, as well as numbered variants, to keep them "compatible" with players not using the mod. Out of the flag-themed packs I've seen, this one is easily the most sizable, well-made, and thought-out.

Well-Known Logos Killfeed by JNDWI

This pack contains 50 icons with some of the most recognizable brands and logos. This pack also includes numbered variants, just like FlagFeed. JNDWI's pack is a good choice for players who might need to brush up on their geography a bit, but are doing great in consumerism.
