My Tier List and Recommended Buy At

( Recommend everyone buy the game on its release date only if the price is reasonable or wait until it goes on discount that matches the price. Avoid overpricing, as it is unfair to other developers who set reasonable prices and earn less. This is fair to the sincere developers and benefits the players. )

The price is based on USD or the regional pricing equivalent in purchasing power. (USD $10 is equivalent in purchasing power to ¥42, ₩110,000, Rp 90,999, €9.75, etc.)

The -10%, -20%, -40%, -50%, -60% in the tier list photo mean the game’s full price is over $10 (based on all regions), and it should only be bought when it goes on that discount (depend on your regions). For F-tier, it’s an incomplete plot or demo.

Starting with Tier SS as the most recommended down to Tier B, all these are good quality FMV games worth trying. Tier D is not recommended; however, if you're interested, you should purchase based on the recommended price to avoid regret. Tier F is disqualified regardless of quality.

Below is a brief description of the game.
    Tier SS & S
  • DS This game contains many love stories and lessons. It shows you what love is, how to love someone, and how to handle situations when you have different opinions. It’s absolutely worth trying, as it combines elements of LiAA and VFTP, along with much more.

  • LiAA, VFTP, IvFfY, KoKL are titles that would be considered S-tier by most people, and these games are all very close to each other. Each person may rank them differently.

  • MTSL This game is weird (like Mr. Bean on a date), but it is the best dating simulator, and you learn a valuable lesson: never lie, do bad things, or be insincere anymore after experiencing it. (Buy only when there is a 60% discount or more)

  • EM This is the most innovative FMV game in terms of gameplay mechanics, with very well-made mystery story plots, as well as a dating simulation through selection options as a dating lesson. The game will drive your interest in solving the mystery and then return to the relationship resolution. It may not be the cup of tea for those who just want a relaxing, easy-to-reach ending in an FMV.

  • MDG was shifted to the back because this game did not obtain any Master of title.

  • R21G is an action FMV with little romance, but the extra content lets you chat with characters and explore their stories, you’ll get to know the characters better than in other FMVs. You need both the base game and DLC, so buy them only when they're 50% off, or you'll pay double the price.

  • ISbCB-VR There aren't many VR FMV games, and this is the first VR FMV game that lets you feel like you're acting together with the actors in VR. However, the Non-VR mode is just okay because it's too short; it is designed as a short journey intended for the VR experience.


    FHUOR, HL18, GOF1&2 prices are high in many regions. Recommend buying them with a much higher discount, no need to rush.

    Tier F
  • SpS Only first 3 hours have a story, it is overpriced, falsely popular and has a confusing and incomplete story. Avoid it.

  • SpA, WIF It’s only Chapter 1/Prologue; this is a demo, should not be sold. Avoid it.


    If you need English subtitles, check whether the game has English subtitles first.

    [dating simulator]
    - usually teaches you what to say in each dialog. You could fail immediately based on some of the dialog options you pick. It focuses more on achieving a successful date.

    [love simulator]
    - It emphasizes the path of love you choose. It usually explores deeper romantic feelings and emotions.

    [life simulator]
    - does not focus solely on love; it covers various aspects of your life, including career, relationships and personal growth.

Thank You. Btw, to search for those games on epic games, you just have to filter by "first person" or "narrative" genre (or the similiar genre, but i just find that two), and don't forget to filter "game" types too, and the end is when you find "love is all around", because that was Chinese FMV game that was booming first.

And I want to recommend about "ouch! so many beauties!", I haven't seen it on the list, I tried the game on epic games and the game can be said to be quite good, some say the game is on Steam but I've never seen it.

would you also consider fmv games from epic game store? I myself have seen one of the FMV games that will be coming soon to Steam, but strangely it suddenly disappeared, then when I checked on the Epic Game Store it turned out it was there. the name of the game is "flaky love". And in my opinion, there are also many FMV games on the Epic Game Store that are not on Steam, indeed some of the FMV games there are not that interesting, but after I tried some of them there were still good ones.

Maybe you would consider to make a list between the main game of LiAA and DLC.

They're different version, and very different quality of the story.

The bug or poor UI should not be the main factor for the rating of the game. I might not give the game a full score of 10/10, but the deduction in score should be low.
For example, there is a good food store where the food is 10/10, but because too many people are queuing to buy it and the wait takes over an hour, does that mean the food should be rated 5/10?

EM and CkG are not easy games to complete, as mentioned earlier. It’s like there are people who are not willing to queue for food, but there are also people who are willing to queue for good food

CkG’s video resolution is not HD, but the acting, sound effects, and music are all good or acceptable. Even though the UI is bad, it has suitable background music.
