Also, if you know about Personality Types (MBTI), people with 'Sensing' have a much different view because they focus on specific aspects and dive deeper into those, while 'Intuition' types focus more on the big picture. This is what I’ve found—some players are very focused on certain aspects and don’t consider other aspects much in the game.
This tier list is meant to be more general, ranking the games based on a big-picture view without diving deeper into specific aspects. The S-tier in this tier list could be larger, as it represents the general top tier, but it doesn't include everything yet, especially since the last few months have seen a lot of games released that have a high potential to be S-tier. If based on my personal taste, the S-tier would be less.
Most of the games in the S-tier to B-tier, I’ve completed with 100% achievements and plot exploration to ensure I didn’t miss any hidden content, so it takes some time to get into the tier list. I still have 3 games that could potentially be in S-tier or A-tier, but I haven’t had the time to finish them yet. The tier will include all the good and important games, but it will take some time.
Please add the full names of the games to the list, sadly those abbreviations are not seen elsewhere in the description or comments. While I know which you mean here, it would be helpful for players, and I imagine many would be confused by why FHUOR is not in the image as I think it's the one that gained the most western popularity
Both games feature authentic love stories, such as Shen Huixin (LiAA) and Su Yimo (DS), both depicting true love toward the MC. However, in LiAA, many players were confused, as Shen Huixin's actions often come across as bullying toward the MC, while in DS, the ending clearly explains what true love is—it’s like an angel who cares for their loved one. In the ending of LiAA, Shen Huixin also appears like an angel to the MC, and this becomes even clearer in the phone messages in the prequel (LiAA-EoY).
DS, LiAA and VFTP are all equally fun and interesting. However, when it comes to love lessons, DS is particularly focused on that, while LiAA and VFTP are more about authentic stories, with the lessons not directly shown, but rather for the player to discover
The big lesson from LiAA is that you have to be serious and quick in love, or you'll lose someone you love, as someone else might take them away.
In DS, the big lesson is understanding. You learn that your loved one also needs their freedom. When conflicts arise, express your opinion clearly, but don’t force them—give them time to think about your point of view. This is why in DS, the game often requires the player to wait until an option appears.
