Bobby Lee

Description
Bobby Lee, as published by Columbia Games in 2013.

Bobby Lee is a block wargame that uses blocks to simulate a partial fog-of-war effect. This particular entry is meant for the American Civil War's Eastern Theater.

Rules can be found for free at Columbia Games' website.

Blocks work similar to dice. To rotate them when face up use 1-4 (note: for 2 pip and 3 pip blocks this is only 1-2 and 1-3 respectively), to put them facedown use 5-8 (3-4 and 4-6 for 2 and 3 pip).

NOTE: I used AI Upscaling on the images, as I pulled them from the VASSAL module. They came out crunchy and nearly unreadable in that state.

Some basic strategies:

AS THE USA - Be aggressive, push from multiple fronts, use your superiority in numbers and replacements to overwhelm the CSA.

AS THE CSA - You must ALSO be aggressive. Raid where applicable (remember the winner of a skirmish is who has more blocks left over), don't be afraid to stand and fight if the battle result in the USA being unable to threaten you for the rest of the turn.

IMO the game is very finely balanced, but with a slight advantage to the USA. The CSA takes balls and aggressive play in order to win, because simply waiting around means you will be crushed. You have to win battles!
