Welcome back to Rio de Janeiro!

A sunny urban region located on the southeastern coast of Brazil, south of Canada. Surrounded by the beautiful beaches and natural beauty of the Guanabara Bay, tourist attractions include iconic landmarks like the Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer, and the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro.

Rio de Janeiro aims to feel like a classic curated map, while adding new features, stylizations and quality of life changes from newer maps, as well as adding new spins to the gameplay in order to make the map more challenging and unique.



Explore newly added and redesigned locations!

All original locations have been redesigned from the ground up to be more appealing and unique, resembling real life aspects from Brazil, and even new locations have been included!


Absorb knowledge with recipe books!

You may find some books while adventuring, keep them on your inventory to learn how to make new items, and eventually you'll even memorize their recipes!



Try out new guns - or revisit the oldies!

Zombies and Animals giving you trouble? Not at all a problem! Not only do all the guns from the original map return, but there are also many new guns such as the Hellseher and Mapinguari, up to 37 total guns!


Make some calls and join a safezone!

The Brocoió Island houses a group of survivors who settled in an abandoned government mansion. Why not try helping them out? You'll meet a variety of survivors, from a weird gardener, a foreign band, and a very talkative pilot. Occasionally, some new faces will show up every few days near the docks to trade with you or offer quests! ...Huh, was this purple phone booth always here?


Drive away into the sunset... Or into the wilderness!

You'll have more than just a few cars to try out; Why not take a ride on a Wasp motorcycle, or take your friends with you on a Honeykomb? Whichever car you pick, feel free to stick to the roads or off-road into the vast jungles... Just be careful with all the Jaguars and Anteaters!

I suggest optimising it.I don't know if it's a computer problem or a map problem. I only play for a dozen frames my computer is 1660s i5 12500f

If you're playing Singleplayer and know what to edit, you can always modify the speed for the vehicles

According to Flodo, the speeds you listed are about right and it must be an issue on Restore Monarchy's end. However, we might revisit vehicle speeds in a future update per your feedback.

-Tiger goes around 120kph, site says 324kph and it's reverse speed is 2kph (tiger is fine to move around tho)


So like the problem is they are just slow for the big map like rio, they need atleast to go 80, not all of them obviously but so many cars and boats are just painfully slow to move around that unless you have a train it's really inconvienient to move around the map, it's just slow, but after all you're the author so maybe it was intentional, anyways hope you have good day

-So school dasher goes for 60kph while the restore monarchy says it should do 70 (i will reference restore monarchy cuz its listed on the workshop page),
-Electric wagon goes 37kph while it says 54kph,
-Firetruck goes barely 21kph if you really try and even in unturned you can see its around 1/3 of the speed,
-Uni goes 65kph while site says 81kph,
-Taxi (36331) goes 64kph while the site says 79kph,

-Runaboout goes around 41kph while it says 81kph
-Tucunaré Patrol Boat goes around 64 while site says 108kph
