Humble Adventurers

Description
Intended to be used as part of the modular increased difficulty experience: Genetics, Death & Difficulty

Overview
Humble Adventurers introduces a significant nerf to Landless Adventurers, applying a modifier (which updates quarterly to ensure all adventurers have it, and adventurers that become rulers do not). This modifier, Humble Adventurer reduces their Men-at-Arms effectiveness by half. This change is designed to inflict some limitations and potential desperation onto landless adventurers who in the base game can become as powerful as emperors within minutes of gameplay.

Now, it is clear that landless adventurers lack proper military infrastructure and resources. While they still bring soldiers to battle, these forces are far less effective compared to those of landed nobles.

Compatibility
Anything and everything, including new Men-at-Arms mods and all total overhauls, such as A Game of Thrones or Elder Kings 2.

Do NOT use this with The Great Men-at-Arms Humbling! Doing so cause adventurers to be incredibly weak.

A Key Deviation
This mod underwent a recent, significant change. Initially this mod was very intrusive code-wise and meant that it was only compatible with the base game. All other MAA mods and total overhauls were not possible to make compatible. This mod used to give adventurers access to their very own MAAs that had half the numbers of their original counterparts. The nerf applied in the current iteration of the mod has the exact same effect as this (in terms of balancing), but applied in a mod friendly way. This change was done to allow me to maintain it more easily, rather than letting it quickly go out of date.

I love using this mod with Bum to God mod to make adventurer a middle step between a landless noble and a baron.

For anyone that uses this mod, please re-read the description. I have overhauled the way it works.

This only affects adventure's strength and nothing else, right? What was the big update pertain to exactly?

I have a pretty big overhaul of the levy system + men-at-arms that I will be releasing, hopefully in the next few days. I am trying to re-capture a similar vibe to CK2, at least in terms of levy strength.

If I can get the balancing to feel good, it will likely just replace this mod altogether.

IMO, you need to nerf the bonuses they gey from camp buildings and positions. Or maybe you can just outright remove the bonus they get from buildings and keep the bonuses from positions to counter stacking. Also, adventurers can stack so much knight effectiveness it is a bit broken. I think knight effectiveness from buildings needs to be removed as well.

just make them more expensive or less units instead of making the game more difficult artificially and more boring, if thats the purpose of the mod then yeah you excelled at it
