Chiku's Dungeon Defenders Achievements Guide 2025

This is a guide for completing achievements efficiently. I simply list all the relevant achievements together so you don't have to figure it out yourself ^^ Along with lists of the things you need to complete, extra knowledge and some videos. Some of this guide is still under construction, but Legendary Defender, Ultimate Defender and Eternal Defender is all there so far.

Introduction

I'm not going to list the achievements in order of easiest to hardest or in order created. This guide is more-so how you can complete achievements efficiently.
The most efficient achievements will be listed first!

For example, often you can complete 2 or even 5 achievements in the same run rather then waste your time running them individually. I will list them all in the same spot so they're all right there for you to see. There's often maps that have two achievements... one for beating it, then one for beating it on nightmare! I'll list the Nightmare one first.

Every achievement in Dungeon Defenders is solo-able, only 1 achievement actually requires splitscreen(or other players) in-game to take those slots(There's an emulator built into the game so you don't need extra controllers or 3rd party software of any kind).

Do note that the game has more in-game achievements then there are in steam. It is more reliable to check your tavern core for in-game achievements(the accomplishments tab) then steam's list... for example, if you've ever earned an achievement in redux it won't count for normal DD1 but it will count in steam regardless of the version you're in).
The tavern core also has the list of rewards you've received for each map. So be sure to use and abuse that when you need to~

You WILL need progression. While the Main Campaign Achievements are pretty easy. Some of the later ones require beating some of the hardest content the game has to offer.

The Deeper Well - Glitterhelm Caverns

I'm going to refer to Achievements by the numbers I gave them to simplify. They are all numbered in roughly the order they were in the wiki.

You can run multiple achievements all at the same time~
Say we run The Deeper Well(See below for The Deeper Well achievements), Technically you can complete numbers: 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 53, 56, 65, 66 all at the same time, by running the map on Nightmare Hardcore(1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 65) having four heroes in play(13), never dying(66), never letting the core get hit(53) and ONLY doing hero damage(56). Meaning you can build Crowd Control stalling towers/traps that don't do damage while you run around killing everything. The only one you'd have to go back for is 54 and you've finished pretty much all of the achievements for The Deeper Well in as little as two runs.

5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11 all have a special condition where you need to complete at least 1 map on the specified difficulty. Perhaps you complete these along with 54 and/or 56 (if you decided Nightmare was too hard for 56 as well which is more then likely).

47. Good Student - Completed the Tutorial. You deserve a cookie!
•Should get this one upon entering the ranked server, if not, toggle tutorial on in settings and enter a local game. Play The Deeper Well and it should run you through the tutorial. Enter ranked again to receive it. Funny enough, this was the last achievement I earned on the PS3 version of the game way back.

143. Ruthless Defender - Earned by completing the classic campaign (The Deeper Well - Glitterhelm Caverns) and their associated challenges(No Towers Allowed - Monster Fest) on Ruthless difficulty.
•Completing this should trigger all the other achievements for clears on nightmare and below but I'm not 100% sure it will. Regaurdless, reaching this content is pretty far into the game and perhaps you can just ignore this and complete everything below on Nightmare for now and come back to it after you reach late-game.
•Is it more efficient to first progress and tackle this whole page later? Well, personally I think Ultimate Defender is worth the effort. Do Nightmare(and below) stuff and come back for Ruthless later.

The Deeper Well / Foundries and Forges / Magus Quarters / Alchemical Laboratory

1. From the Depths - Completed all Area 1 levels on any difficulty setting.
4. Dungeon Crawler - Completed all levels on any difficulty setting.
5. The Belly of the Beast - Completed all Area 1 levels on Hard.
8. Dungeon Raider - Completed all levels on Hard.
9. From Fire with Brimstone - Completed all Area 1 levels on Insane.
12. Dungeon Defender - Completed all levels on Insane! Congratulations Brave Dungeon Defender!
13. Team Effort- Completed all levels with 4 active players on at least Medium Difficulty.
53. Perfectionist - Earned the Flawless Victory Award on every Mission on at least Medium Difficulty.
54. Daredevil - Earned Skin of Your Teeth Award on 6 Missions.
56. Brute Force - Earned the Gunslinger Award on all Missions.
65. Mythical Defender - You completed every mission in the original Campaign on Nightmare difficulty! Are you a god?
66. Hardcore Mythical Defender - You completed every mission in the original campaign on Nightmare difficulty without dying. You are a god.

Servants Quarters / Castle Armory / Hall of Court / The Throne Room

2. To the Rooftops - Completed all Area 2 levels on any difficulty setting.
4. Dungeon Crawler - Completed all levels on any difficulty setting.
6. The Body of the Beast - Completed all Area 2 levels on Hard.
8. Dungeon Raider - Completed all levels on Hard.
10. Through The Crowded Keep - Completed all Area 2 levels on Insane.
12. Dungeon Defender - Completed all levels on Insane! Congratulations Brave Dungeon Defender!
13. Team Effort - Completed all levels with 4 active players on at least Medium Difficulty.
53. Perfectionist - Earned the Flawless Victory Award on every Mission on at least Medium Difficulty.

3. A Taste of Victory - Completed all Area 3 levels on any difficulty setting.

8. Dungeon Raider - Completed all levels on Hard.
11. To the Lofty Summit - Completed all Area 3 levels on Insane.
12. Dungeon Defender - Completed all levels on Insane! Congratulations Brave Dungeon Defender!
13. Team Effort - Completed all levels with 4 active players on at least Medium Difficulty.
53. Perfectionist - Earned the Flawless Victory Award on every Mission on at least Medium Difficulty.

14. A Matter of Perspective - Saw all four Hero endings.
•Defeat the Summit with Apprentice, Monk, Huntress and Squire as player 1.
•Once on Hard(7), Once on Insane(11), and at least once on Nightmare... to make the most out of it, add in (54) and (56) to two of those runs.

Bonus: Glitterhelm Caverns

4. Dungeon Crawler - Completed all levels on any difficulty setting.
8. Dungeon Raider - Completed all levels on Hard.
12. Dungeon Defender - Completed all levels on Insane! Congratulations Brave Dungeon Defender!
13. Team Effort - Completed all levels with 4 active players on at least Medium Difficulty.
53. Perfectionist - Earned the Flawless Victory Award on every Mission on at least Medium Difficulty.

The Free Achievements and Challenges

Free Achievements

You pretty much just obtain these from just playing the game or from completing other achievements:
40. Smithy - You upgraded your first equipment. Keep it up!
41. And This Is My Weapon - You upgraded an Equipment to its maximum potential!
42. To The Limit - Wore a completed set of maximum level Equipments.
•Level up items in the head, chest, hands, feet, pet and weapon slots. It does not need to be a matching armour set.
43. Divine Intention - Picked up a Godly Weapon.
44. O Mighty Smiter! - Wore a full set of Godly Items.
•You need a set of Godly quality armour with all the same material type: Pristine, Chain, Plate, Leather or Mail.
45. Obedience Training - Raise a Pet to its maximum potential.
48. Pupil - Reached Hero Level 10.
49. Veteran - Reached Hero Level 30.
50. Defender of Etheria - Reached Hero Level 70.
51. Group Hug - Raised a Hero of each type to Level 70.
52. True Nobility - Earned the Lord Award on at least Medium Difficulty.
•Kill 50 enemies in 5 seconds
57. Master Banker - Stored 15,000,000 Mana in your Mana Bank.
58. Legendary Defender - You have earned every Dungeon Defenders Accomplishment! Trendy salutes you!
•Complete all achievements numbered 0-57
90. Ultimate Defender - You earned every Dungeon Defenders Accomplishment through the Eternia Shards Campaign! Trendy bow
•Complete all achievements numbered 0-89(Except 76,77/Boss Rush and 86, 87/Anti-Cupid)

Challenges

Main Campaign Challenge Maps(Located in the Challenges tab of maps...might need to scroll down a bunch. Unlocked after completing the corresponding campaign map):

143. Ruthless Defender - Earned by completing the classic campaign (The Deeper Well - Glitterhelm Caverns) and their associated challenges on Ruthless difficulty.
•Completing this should trigger all the other achievements for challenge clears on nightmare and below but I'm not 100% sure it will. Regaurdless, reaching this content is pretty far into the game and perhaps you can just ignore this and complete everything below beforehand on Nightmare for now and come back to it after you reach late-game.

71. Transcendent Challenge Champion - You completed every original Challenge on Nightmare Hardcore difficulty. The gods weep before your awesome might!
•Run all the challenges on nightmare to clear all the following achievements for the challenges(Minus Ruthless Defender which you could come back for later).
•List of maps include: No Towers Allowed, Unlikely Allies, Warping Core, Raining Goblins, Wizardry, Ogre Crush, Zippy Terror, Chicken, Moving Core, Death From Above, Assault, Treasure Hunt, Monster Fest

Main Campaign Challenges
16. Friends Forever - Completed Unlikely Allies on at least Medium Difficulty.
17. 88 Core - Completed Warping Core on at least Medium Difficulty.
19. Wizard Hunter - Completed Wizardry on at least Medium Difficulty.
22. In A Fowl Mood - Completed Chicken on at least Medium Difficulty.
23. Core Cardio - Completed Moving Core on at least Medium Difficulty.
24. Core Destroyer - Completed Assault on at least Medium Difficulty.
28. Weapon Master - Completed No Towers Allowed on Insane Difficulty.

Survival and Pure Strategy

Pure Strategy

34. Defense Is the Best Offense - Reached Wave 10 on all levels in Pure Strategy on at least Medium Difficulty.
•Means you can complete wave 9 and lose wave 10.
•Includes: The Deeper Well / Foundries and Forges / Magus Quarters / Alchemical Laboratory / Servants Quarters / Castle Armory / Hall of Court / The Throne Room / Royal Gardens / The Ramparts / Endless Spires / The Summit / Bonus: Glitterhelm Caverns
•You can ask someone to run this for you that already has the waves. All they have to do is start you on wave ten and lose on each of the maps.
•You may need to force-update the game afterwards by completing a map to earn the achievement.

Survival

39. Transcendent Survivalist - You achieved Nightmare Survival Victory on every Campaign mission, and are thus rewarded!
•Includes: The Deeper Well / Foundries and Forges / Magus Quarters / Alchemical Laboratory / Servants Quarters / Castle Armory / Hall of Court / The Throne Room / Royal Gardens / The Ramparts / Endless Spires / The Summit / Bonus: Glitterhelm Caverns / City in the Cliffs
•Actually you can just complete wave 24 and lose wave 25.
•For a shortcut, it is possible to ask another player for waves. They just need to start a survival in their lobby, start on whatever latest wave they have and immediately lose. Then you'll have waves for survival up to 24, start wave 24, complete that wave and lose wave 25. If you want to go for completion for some reason, I recommend starting wave 23 instead so you can earn pets upon completion.

Transcendent Survivalist will also complete the following so there is no reason to run them.
35. Iron Man - Reached Survival Wave 10 on Insane Difficulty.
37. Tough Guy - Reached Survival Wave 15 on at least Hard Difficulty.
36. Survivalist - Reached Survival Wave 15 on at least Medium Difficulty.
38. Thick Skin - Reached Survival Wave 20 on at least Medium Difficulty.

Pet Achievements

You can skip these 2 achievements by just having someone hand the pets to you.

60. I've Got Monsters in My Pocket - You collected every Pet in all Etheria in your Item Box!
46. Catch 'em All - Stored all Pet types in your Item Box or on your Heroes.

Here's a list of the 31 pets you need for these achievements and where their guaranteed drops are located. The majority of them are from running maps on survival, the exceptions being: Sky of Love, Assault Pack, The Summit(For Guardians and Animus) and Presidential Royal where you just play through the map normally.
I'm not going to go into detail on random rewards.

Summoner and The Quest for Lost Eternia Shards

89. Mythical Real Time Strategist - Completed the Original Campaign and 3 Eternia Shards Missions only using summoned mobs and Overlord mode, except for the Final Wave... on Nightmare!
•Complete: The Deeper Well / Foundries and Forges / Magus Quarters / Alchemical Laboratory / Servants Quarters / Castle Armory / Hall of Court / The Throne Room / Royal Gardens / The Ramparts / Endless Spires / The Summit / Bonus: Glitterhelm Caverns / Mistymire Forest / Maraggo Desert Town / Aquanos / City in the Cliffs dealing minion damage only, minus the final wave where you can do whatever you want.
•Summoner Minions and the Hermit's Golem are the only things that deal minion damage.
•You can also use anything else that doesn't do any damage. Other useful things may include: Monk's Ensnare Auras, Strength Drain Aura, Enrage Auras. Huntress's Gas Traps. Apprentice Walls. Series EV's Buff Beam, Physical Beam. NO REFLECT BEAMS
•No DPS Pets allowed, they are considered hero damage.

88. Real Time Strategist - Completed the Original Campaign and 3 Eternia Shards Missions using only summoned mobs and Overlord mode, except for the Final Wave.
•Completed with Mythical Real time Strategist.

55. Mastermind - Earned the Master Strategist Award on all Missions.
•Is completed along with Mythical Real Time Strategist IF YOU ONLY DEAL TOWER DAMAGE ON THE FINAL WAVE, so there is no reason to run this at all separately from Mythical Real Time Strategist. Bosses in the main campaign will have to be tower-killed.

The Most efficient way to complete Mistymire Forest, Moraggo Desert Town and Aquanos is running Mythical Real Time Strategist. Sky City not Included.
